Unnecessary delay?
We could've gotten some needed docs faster if we had online accounts w/ SSA, IRS and the credit agencies. If we had known on day one to create those accounts, we would've had the docs well in advance of the closing, but we ended up needing to get some of the docs by mail last minute which delayed the closing.

The Review
Our close date had to be moved from the 9/26 to 9/29. Due to kitchen cabinets potentially being late. On the 28th I contacted Chicago Title to find out about closing. They contacted Rob, had a conversation, then Rob contacted me. He was very apologetic as he informed me, that our closing might be pushed back to 9/30. I asked why, he stated the appraiser had contracted COVID-19. I was a bit upset, he calmed me and said he had been working on the issue, he just hadn't updated me as to what was going on. Well, Rob and his team were able to get all the issues resolved with the underwriter (over writer) and we closed on time 9/29! Thank you Rob!
Arron's Tip: Next time, even though it may not be great news. Let the customer know, so they can plan for it!
