I understand the builder delays had caused our loan process to be longer than expected, but to lose out on a much lower interest rate. We were to get a 1.9% in April 2021, but Jetloan couldn't lock us in so we were given 2.99%. I believe there was no-one there looking out for us even though I made many inquires to get locked. The processor was out of state and worked from home, so communication from her was challenging and most cases missing document and needed scanned immediately. Had no idea taxes per month were so high, told a much lesser dollar amount.
James's Tip: Not all clients are experts at buying homes or intimate with process, ask if they are familiar, walk the process explain what are expected added funds details

Dabney and His Team Are the Dream Team In Mortgage Lending!
Make sure before you choose your lender reach out to Dabney. This man is amazing. Gave me a plan that I followed, communicated with me throughout and now we are in our home! He answers the phone whenever you call him with a question or concern. If he doesn't which is rarely he will call you back almost immediately. I can't say enough good things about him and his team! Jackie is amazing and works hard for you every step of the way. With all their knowledge and experience you have amazing people on your side. The application process can be tedious and overwhelming but with the team at JetLoans by your side it makes it a lot easier. I'm also really happy about the communication during the loan approval process. You get constant updates as they happen. You have a dashboard as well to make uploading and signing documents a breeze. When I go to buy my next house I'll definitely be calling the team at JetLoans. Give them a try and you'll be on here writing a review like mine. Steve

Best Loan Officer Ever!!!
As a Compliance Officer, I can be a tough customer :) Dabney and Vasken make the process so pleasant! They are both VERY professional, courteous, and on top of things. Fro. Getting our pre-approval over a weekend to being told that the certificate of occupancy not done the day of closing, Dabney made magic happen! CO was obtained but a backup plan in place before I even got the call, that is outstanding service! Always made time for my calls, questions, rate watch, closing schedule, required docs. I have been thru horrific home loan process previously, and Jet Home/FBC and Dabney and Vasken, made the process simple straightforward and pleasant!!! Thank you!

Typical Lending Service
I wasn’t really happy with the overall service, but I can’t say it was any worse than experiences I’ve had in the past. It took forever to get a final closing disclosure that was actually accurate. In fact, even after notifying Donnie of errors on it prior to closing, it still didn’t get fixed and we had to wait on the day of closing. My home is in Texas and Donnie was in Florida. He didn’t really seem to be well-versed in how the Texas market operates. I felt like there was miscommunication from him regarding the interest rate and points as well. I was under the impression he got the rate without buying it down (that’s what I asked and what he told me), but days later I found out he bought it down. Lastly, his general attitude was “I know more than you” and seemed to be frustrated at questions I asked and clarifying information I wanted.
ADAM's Tip: Use a local lender. And don’t use a builder’s lender unless you absolutely have to in order to get incentives.
