Undoubtedly the worst experience
The entire process for building my new home has been a nightmare from beginning to end but the loan process was just as bad. We were given to 4 different loan officers throughout the timeframe, and every time the new officer had no idea where all of our information went. The las loan officer that we were give was just unprofessional and would always try to talk over us when we were trying to explain an issue or if we had questions about something on the loan. We were put on the back burner the entire time because other consumers were more important and he couldn’t look into our issues or answer our questions until he closed on the other paperwork. We were told to wait over and over when we were closing in less than 3 weeks! When we get to the table to close, surprise the demographic information was incorrect on all of the paperwork and our appraisal document was not sent to us until the day after we closed when we were suppose to receive it weeks prior. Overall the experience was bad enough and all of the way to the last day it never got better. A way to mitigate this from happening in the future would be to distribute the clients more evenly so that they can all have the full attention of their loan officer because ours seemed a little to preoccupied to be able to assist us in the way we needed.
Jacob's Tip: Be prepared to stay on top of your loan officer and keep copies of every document you send because they will ask for them again.

On a scale of 1-10 Maggie in sales was awesome she was a true pleasure to work with. Donny gets a 10 hands down awesome loan officer. The Notary unfortunately was a huge disappointment. No personality at all. When in customer service requires a people’s person. He was terrible, didn’t give an overview of any of the docs. Good thing I’m in the biz and understood all the docs!

Typical Lending Service
I wasn’t really happy with the overall service, but I can’t say it was any worse than experiences I’ve had in the past. It took forever to get a final closing disclosure that was actually accurate. In fact, even after notifying Donnie of errors on it prior to closing, it still didn’t get fixed and we had to wait on the day of closing. My home is in Texas and Donnie was in Florida. He didn’t really seem to be well-versed in how the Texas market operates. I felt like there was miscommunication from him regarding the interest rate and points as well. I was under the impression he got the rate without buying it down (that’s what I asked and what he told me), but days later I found out he bought it down. Lastly, his general attitude was “I know more than you” and seemed to be frustrated at questions I asked and clarifying information I wanted.
ADAM's Tip: Use a local lender. And don’t use a builder’s lender unless you absolutely have to in order to get incentives.

Terrible
I would not recommend him to anyone. I asked him over and over again for things and he rarely got them accomplished. I ended up doing his job for him a few times because I couldn't trust him to get it done in a timely manner and I didn't want to wait on him. I constantly had to reach out to him and ensure he didn't need anything else from me and multiple times things were emailed to him and then I would get an email from the loan team asking me for documents they already had for weeks. Didn't feel appreciated and felt like I was more of a burden and that my business was not wanted. However Keely was absolutely amazing and on top of it. Every time I emailed her she responded quickly and got everything done in a timely manner. Never had an issue with her once. She made up for all the other issues
Trevin's Tip: Vet out your loan officer before working with them. They get paid very well to do a job and when you are spending as much as you are, you would expect to be treated like everything is a priority and that your business is well appreciated

Jumbled Company
Although they do replay to calls and emails rather quickly. At closing they were very disorganized and seemed to have an arrogant attitude to go along with it. Overall not a good experience.
