Great!

She was very pleasant, informative and generous. Even though she came towards the ending of my loan she always helped me. Answered every question I had during the process even after hours if needed. I appreciate her very much and she was phenomenal.

Terrible experience

This was the worst experience buying a home. This is our 3rd home we have purchased. Communication was terrible. Documents that were sent were repeatedly asked for again. We were pre qualified from another mortgage and had to start completely over with rmc. We were not told until we figured it out that they added 4,000$ without telling us to lower our interest rate. On the day before closing at 430pm we were told we were approved. The day of closing we were not told what amount was due for closing until 222pm and closing was at 3pm. Very stressful.

Brittany's Tip: Make sure communication is going to happen and make sure it’s completed before the day of closing.

Home Ownership

I didn't initially start off with Denton, but I ended with him and the transition was seamless. Everyone on the team was easy to reach and Denton was able to answer questions I had and was not only reachable by e-mail but by telephone as well. I was informed in every aspect of what was needed and guided if I was unsure or unaware of what was actually asked. Although it was a stressful time, due to effective communication and openness I survived and succeeded and closed with a big smile on my face. Would I do it all again with RMC Home Mortage? I most definitely will.

Madonna's Tip: Make sure your financial situation does not change unless it's you getting a pay raise. Do not take out credit cards, or any other debt, until you close. Do not make expensive charges on your credit card that you can't pay off your bill in full. Go on a serious budget and save save save - no unnecessary purchases.

Worst experience ever.

This whole experience was an absolute nightmare and it almost felt like a big giant joke. RMC lost all my paperwork, they wouldn’t provide me different loan options when I asked because “it wouldn’t make a big difference.” As Lynn and her team continued on with this mess, I just felt like the communication got progressively worse. I’m a first time home buyer. Lynn knew how awful Maronda treated me and my family yet, when I asked questions and she wouldn’t let me talk, which then resulted me saying a swear word (which wasn’t even directed to Lynn), she then said if I were her son, she would physically assault me. Lynn also provided me with the wrong numbers, which I only found out after I finished all the paperwork.

Michael's Tip: Explain everything thoroughly and be professional. Take the time. Have empathy. When people are upset, it’s probably not directed at you - they upset at the situation caused by other people. It’s your job to be on the phone to explain things in an easily digestible manner. RMC and Maronda need better communication or they need to find different partners.

Stay Away

I was a first time home owner and was learning the ropes. I am a very intelligent person, but this man made me feel like I wasn’t. I know I didn’t buy a million dollar home, but he never had time to discuss anything and seem like he didn’t care. On the 99th hour we were told because of my husband immigration status pending we could not get our loan. And he had no remorse about the matter. I felt like he gave me a best option that fits with him and not what work best for me. Come to find out my husband status didn’t matter in the case and we were able to dodge a bullet. He also made me feel as if I could only get a FHA loan and that was not the case! We went to another loan provider and was able to close less that 3 weeks.

Monica's Tip: Chose a different lender and make sure to go with someone who make you feel like u matter

Very Disappointed

We have owed between us both at least 4 houses and so have had to go thru this process multiple times and I have to say this was the worst experience ever. From being asked multiple times for the same document to waiting last minute for approvals to just poor communication of all parties definitely made the actual signing day, which is to be such a wonderful moment full of stress and plain annoyance. On top of it, when we got to the signing there was No representation from your company at all and we were there with someone who we had no idea who she was. There was no welcome no congratulation no nothing and again we have gone thru this before and this company versus others we have dealt with comes no where near. If every asked on recommendations we will definitely share our honest feedback with all.

Douglas's Tip: Make sure you really read all documents and stay on top of all reps you have to deal with. There is no real communication with your lender and buyer and be aware they will make you complete the same thing over and over again

Terrible Communication.

RMC as a whole does a very poor job at communicating with their clients and has very inconsistent and unreliable information. My loan officer, overall, was nice. She was AWFUL at being available and i could hardly ever get in contact with her and she did not follow up most times. But she was always nice and polite. However, when purchasing a home and figuring out how you are financing the home, communication plays a major role and that is especially hard to do when you can not ask questions or talk about your options with your own loan officer. Its even more terrible when your loan officer decides not to be available to you during your week of closing. So i am passed around from person to person with no one with any knowledgeable information of my file to be able to even help me in the slightest. And any time i requested something outside of my loan officer or asked for confirmation or questions in writing, they were all ignored or dismissed. I am truly not a fan of how RMC conducts their business.

The worst

This is not our first rodeo. This is our third new home, we have refinanced dozens of times. I have never experienced such an incompetent and rude mortgage company. Our loan officers/processors were changed multiple times, and each time somehow they couldn't get our information within the company so I would have to resubmit info again. No communication with our builder. They would ask US if WE knew the closing date..should be the other way around. Closing day was a nightmare. First the person at RMC would not answer my calls to confirm the wire amount. She would only email me, and the amount changed many times until I finally just did a cashiers check. Secondly at our signing we were given NO copies or packet. Still have none. Then an hour after close, someone from RMC calls and asks for our keys back! We ignored her, as per our conversation with Maronda, who already had Certificate of Occupancy. They wanted our keys because an appraiser didn't want to sign off on final inspection because a bathroom mirror wasn't up. Just a ridiculous experience overall. I only stayed with this clown company because closing costs were paid. Rates are higher than the national average, we have perfect credit and I plan to refi immediately with a different company.
