I initially started with another company that approved me for 300K. Then I found the home of my dreams, and RMC gave me an approval letter of 400K. Thanks to that I was able to purchase my dream home with a 4.9% interest. They made the process very easy and uncomplicated.
Celia's Tip: I wasted time waiting for the right time to purchase. Talk to a lender first and get your approval letter so you can find out how much you qualify for. You might already qualify for your dream home.

Incpmpetent and Deceptive
My wife and I are property managers by trade. We own four homes with paid-off mortgages. We have an 800+ credit rating and a low debt-to-income ratio. RMC and Kevin Townsend put us through a horrible situation. We were given the thumbs up with closing docs and a promise to finalize the next day. The next morning, our FHA loan was pulled out from underneath us with an excuse that the way some of our income was reported on our taxes was not allowed to be counted by the mysterious "underwriters". The problem with this blame game is that they had our tax information for over a month but waited until the last minute to pull the plug. This was after they knew we had an elderly father who needed his breathing equipment and was already in transit. Had they addressed the issue 30 days ago, when they first got the tax documents, we could have made other arrangements, including paying cash for the house. The last-minute surprise put our dad in physical danger, and all we got was excuses. We have as many as 20 mortgage experiences, but this experience was beyond description.

Misinformed
I went with this lender because the builder chose it. I already had a lender who I had a great relationship with but was not able to get any incentives. I rate 2 stars because of poor communication. I rarely heard from my lender unless I called them. I explained from the beginning that I didn't want to buy points and I would wait for interest rates until closer to closing. When I locked the rate early, it was not explained that I was buying points to lower the rate and since I didn't understand the paperwork, nor did the lender go over it with me, I was surprised at closing with a big fee to buy points to lock the rate. Ibwas also promised when I locked the rate that if rates went lower before my closing, we could relock. I called twice to discuss this as my closing date got closer and it was explained that it wouldn't be worth it. I was not happy at closing to have someone else explain the paperwork to me because my lender couldn't do a better job.
Jennifer's Tip: Allow clients to choose their own lender and still get incentives for closing costs. Improve communication. Have someone go over the paperwork line by line because most people don't know what they are looking at.

Communication with customer needs to be timely, our experience with loan processor was less than adequate / satisfactory. Mr. Kevin Townsend was very professional, responsive ,responsible and respectful . I was easy to communate with him and later with Loan officer’s over all performance was less than adequate/satisfactory. RMC needs to clearly state the types of specific documentation needed to get final approval at the beginning of loan application & not Waite until last minute in the process. Further loan processor needs to be communicating in a they manner to answer the customer needs/ questions! Loan officer and his assistant ( Ms Stephanie Trang ) provided excellent service in a professional manner.6
