Don't Use Them - Horrible Communication

As you have read in the other reviews (that I failed to look at before going with RMC to service our loan) is the communication is horrendous. I would send texts, emails and phone calls and not get a response for days and this was during the week we were supposed to close. I ended up reaching out to the loan processor which was exceptionally helpful! I was told we could lock our rates and 60 days prior to close and could re-lock at any time, when the rates started to drop, I reached out to my loan officer advising I wanted to change our rates and again, crickets! I ended up getting another loan estimate from a different lender and sent it to them and they finally called and responded with a lower rate but not the one I was being offered by the other lender. If it wasn’t so close to our closing date, I would have gone with the other lender. I wish I would have been a bit more diligent; we would have shopped around more. If you want my advice, go with a different lender, one that will explain every step of the way what is going on and will stay in constant contact.

Amazing loan officer

I’m so pleased that I happened to have Pamela as my loan officer. She wasn’t my original person but am I so thankful things worked out the way they did. Pamela is extremely knowledgeable and goes over and beyond for her clients. No matter what time it was she always answered my questions and helped me tremendously along the way especially with it being my first time I knew could count on her. She helped me every step of the way and I’m very appreciative of everything she did. I would recommend her 100 times over. She made this a very easy process and for that I’m grateful.

Unfortunate

Need’s customer service training. Unresponsive. Lacks transparency. Bothered when asking for clarity. Generally unpleasant to work with.

No good communication between Efrain and the customer, Efrain had poor communication, we had to always email him for everything and response rate was very slow as well. Best promotion were not offered at first we had to dig into other lenders and a lot of back and forth. Jordan K was very helpful and very fast to respond to my emails . One good thing, even But when he did answer questions were answered.

Jerry's Tip: Customers should always be first, make your self more available, this will really benefit this Morgage company

Lender

First of all, my home was started building in 08-21, in May 21 the loan processor sent us the email to ask us to pay for appraisal when the builder had not got the permit yet. We followed the order. Been there we were requested many times to support all documents and we did. The appraisal company went out to do their work without sending us any documents, and until now we don’t even know what they appraised for when the house had just frames. Second, a month before closing we were ask to pay again, we told Jannie we did pay and she told us we need to pay again for RMC especially Jannie fault. Finally she fixed her fault. Last but not least, when we needed to communicate with her she never answered her phone, one time we got a hold of her and told her about appraisal fee she needed to take it out from the loan and she did not. We were scheduled to meet to notary for the title at 1400 on 11-21 and it took us longer to get this thing done with anxiety. On Friday 11-18 we got the call from Maronda to cancel the lanai, we accepted that and called her back to let us know if any changes or wanted us to do anything she never answered or called back. The amount we needed to pay at closing day which was kept changing, we had the hard time to buy the cashier check with correct number to pay for the title. She didn’t help us as your company value. We flew out from different state and weekend all bank are closed we told them that but no one showed the care to it. We called Veronica to concern and she told us back that she would contact everyone who got involved to communicate with us and it did not happen. On Monday 11-21 (closing day) at noon we got the call from Kari (title company) to check with us if the lender (Jannie) called us to confirm the time we told her we didn’t. Every minutes of us is value and we didn’t want title company to wait for us so we drove there to wait and waited for 3hrs, Kari called us to let us know she had what she needed for and waited for Jannie’s call then she could release the paper work. I did not know if what happened between Jannie, Kari, and Karen we got to work with notary around after 5pm and Kari was not happy because we showed more receipt that needed to be deducted from the loan as we uploaded times when Jannie asked for. We just wanted to finish the whole terrible process we were not supposed to, but over all this was horrible communication and really bad attitude from the lender with us. If we need a loan we will not go with RMC sorry to say and not recommend any one that we know to go with RMC. Again, thank you very much to get us to the end of this procedure. Thomas and Thao Hahn

PROFICIENT

Communication is missing

I selected this lender as they are the builders lending agency and had incentives to use RMC. It was chaotic from day 1. Their information never aligned with the construction information and 3 months out, they held me responsible for all "closing" items even though my house was still a shell. The day of closing was the WORST experience. RMC didn't send my closing docs to the title company until the scheduled time of closing. They sent an incorrect CD which resulted in me wiring more than necessary. My closing took 3 hours from the time it was scheduled! I'm still waiting to hear about my overpayment, too. There was also a lot of blaming of the builders, even though they are the same company. The blaming left me with very little faith.

Dawn's Tip: Do not use RMC. I felt like I had to check to see if they did their end of the work continuously.

Communication is not their strongest point

Was always difficult to get someone to answer phones calls and emails. Often took several (3-4) before we could get a response. Seemed like every time we turned around there were more documents to upload. Sometimes even at the last minute (2 days before close they realized they didn't have a copy of our social security card) and a week before they were still trying to verify employment.

Great Lender

Pam is Absolutely Awesome. Any questions you have she was right there with the answer, just as if she was sitting across from you at the table. I can't say Enough about how helpful she was, and believe me it was a long process having a home built. RMC has many Excellent employees I'm sure, just that you don't get to talk with them.

David's Tip: RMC done a Great job for us. I'd bet they would do as good a job or better for anyone needing a home loan
