Refinance of primary home
I'm sure I will be dismissed as a difficult customer but my experience was the opposite of seamless. Right down to calling my own employer's employment verification hotline because my originator didn't and simply passed the message that the underwriter was having trouble getting through. My reply-have you tried the number yourself? His reply-no. One example of the laziness and complete incompetence of my originator. I would call the number he provided and he would answer "hello" instead of Brian, FBC, or something professional, with kids screaming in the background. He kept a realtor in copy on emails with my tax information-a realtor that by the way never showed me a single property and actually told me "once Brian gets you pre-approved, we can view a house" well, it took 2 months for Brian to get the paperwork to a workable point.
Pamela's Tip: Answer the phone with your name and business. Keep your kids quiet. Try to research something on your own before passing the buck to the client to do your work. Send an introductory email when having third parties ask for personal information related to the loan. Don't promise an amount approved then walk it back the next day.

I was making the application March 13th, a few days before we got shut down with Covid-19, I didn't think it would become a reality because so much was happening all at the same time. We were to close by April 14th and Jeff along with Alice pulled it all together and we closed a week early on April 7th. They are an amazing group of people that you can trust to get the job done.
