The home buying process while normally a stressful ordeal was actually quite pain free! They were willing to work with us and offered an extremely competitive rate. When it came to updates I never felt like I was left out in the dark. My assigned representatives all seemed to be excited and eager to get us into our home in a timely fashion. Sometimes the calls to us would be just health check calls to see how things are going and to reassure that everything is going fine which was great. A1 customer service and A1 attention to detail!
David's Tip: -Get your basic essential documents together ahead of time (bank statements, w2's etc). This seemingly obvious tip actually is a big factor in reducing the stress of the process -As long as you respond to additional requests in a quick manner you will find the process to be a breeze -The underwriting process was actually quite tame compared to the experiences ive read from people who went to other loan processors

FBC Mortgage made my Refi happen
I wanted to consolidate my mortgage, home equity line, and a few credit cards into one easy payment over a 15 yr term. My mortgage and HELOC was with the same bank and when I approached them, they were reluctant to help and offered me an absurd rate. Working with FBC was easy and efficiently processed. Start to finish took roughly 30 days and the communication was excellent. I worked with Kevin Houck from start to finish and I could not be happier. He was amazing! He explained every step of the process, answered my questions, and helped me sort out a few details that I was very particular about, which made this refi happen. Thank you to everyone at FBC for their help in this process, but Kevin Houck definitely deserves the credit for making this happen for my family.

This was my 1st time buying a house and between work and daily life stresses on top of learning the in's and outs about what to look for in the actual house we were buying we had a lot going on! We were grateful after our real estate agent recommended FBC as our lender, and especially Kelly Taylor and her team. Kelly was on top of communicating with us at all times, whenever we needed updated information- we were never in the dark, or if we just needed advice about something we never once felt like we couldn't just pick up the phone and ask a question, it was a very pleasant experience. Amanda's Tip: Have all of your documents ready i.e: pay stubs, tax information, verification of employment, if you can get as much of the required paperwork ready ahead of time then it will save you and cut down on processing time in the long run.

Kyle Straub made buying this home a BREEZE!
This was our first time purchasing a home, scary! Naturally, you hear stories about how daunting this task of purchasing a home can be, especially the financial aspect. We found a house we liked, and saw Kyle's online marketing, so we reached out. He promptly called within 30 minutes and we had a quick 20-30 minute phone call where he gathered our information, then we were off! He quickly sent over a pre-approval and we began negotiations with our builder. For the 6 weeks we were under contract, Kyle made every effort to keep us in the loop on our loan status. I am not surprised that we were able to close a day earlier than scheduled because KYLE WAS ON TOP OF THINGS! Whenever processing needed additional information, Kyle clearly explained why and helped us work through it! On closing day, Kyle met us at the title company and made himself available for questions, it was great to have his support in our corner. Kyle was genuine from day one to closing day, that made this process easy. When we buy our next house, Kyle will be our lender!! No question about that. Thank you Kyle Straub!!

The process was easy because it was all electronic. There was no tedious faxing or visits to an office to sign and submit paperwork. There were a few issues with the accuracy of the data included on some of the documents and when I brought them up I was considered "freaking out" and I needed to "chill"-not very professional terms to use with a consumer....I was assured that my loan would not be sold and that it would remain with FBC; however, the final documents showed that my loan may in fact be sold...not a happy camper ;(
