Was a complicated loan because of the business and income of my co-borrower and it was handled perfectly. Despite having many moving parts as far as getting the loan processed, the title company commented on how early they got the documents which is a huge relief when going through this process. Was very professional and easy to deal with every step of the way and very prompt in responding to any questions I had both by phone and email.

Excellent Customer Service!
As a first time home buyer, I was a little unsure of what to expect and I was loaded with questions for my lender. My loan officer, Brad Watts was readily available whenever I needed him. He always returned my calls and he answered EVERY email and text message I sent him. The entire staff at FBC Mortgage made my home buying process a lot easier and less stressful. I constantly received updates from Bard on every step of the process and my loan was closed on time. I HIGHLY recommend Brad and the entire FBC Mortgage staff if you are purchasing a home.

The three ladies involved with out loan, Seymoine Schmidt, Marcy Hunter and Julie Mycroft, were truly excellent and responsive and efficient in working with me to get the task accomplished. In addition, they displayed a refreshing sense of humor and patience when I vented about the many absolutely and unnecessary stupid questions asked by the underwriters. Truly a waste of time and patience for all of us.
Charles's Tip: Educate the underwriters to ask meaningful questions and not waste everybody's time and patience. This loan is 7% of our net worth, and the underwriter was chasing a $30 late payment fee!! The property was appraised at $365,000 and our loan is $276,000. If we went bankrupt yesterday FBC already has a profit of $89,000, and they are chasing $30??? Get real here!!!

Barbara Dini held my hand through the whole process. Everyone told me what a nightmare closing would be and how long it would take and how much money I would have pay out. That was not my experience. I feel like Barb is family. She made it clear from the beginning she would be there to answer any questions, no matter how silly I thought it was. She would text me and give me pointers and heads up because she knew I was super busy with my job and baby. She walked me through obtaining whatever documents I needed and gave me support when I felt like drowning. We closed on time and now I am a homeowner when just a few months ago I thought it would be impossible in my financial situation.

Yelaina's Tip: Research the loan process with family and friends. Make sure you have a 2 year work history documented. Make sure you have no foreclosures for FHA Loans in the past 3 years. Have ALL Tax documents organized.

Worst bank to finance your home.
I buy my house 2 years ago never a late payment. And this bank is trying to take away my house from me and my family saying they never received my payment when I sent a certified check always to the bank and keep track of my payments. They report I was late 90 days didn't let me pay my house and know they are charging me with lawyers fee.

The final interest rate was substantially greater than the estimated interest rate without any discussion that the rate was increasing. There was no negotiation in spite of my excellent credit. I was pressured to put a greater amount down in order to decease my rate. I feel that I got ripped off. Also, I provided Trust information so the warranty deed could be titled in the name of the trust, but they forgot and it took another 4 months to resolve the issue and had to get my attorney to do the name change. I should have been given options for 15, 20, 30 year terms.
Diana's Tip: Shop around for the best rate even if the builder provides incentives to use their mortgage lender.
