Jacqueline's Tip: When it comes time for the closing please make sure you understand the wiring instructions as well as checking with your bank for their procedures for wiring money.

Incompetent
We only used this lender because we bought a new build home and in order to receive the builder incentives , worst mistake EVER! This is our 3rd home purchase so we are not new to this game. We had already been preapproved by our previous lender and again ONLY went with FBC for the so called incentives. The morning of settlement was an absolute nightmare!!! Things by FBC were NOT done and they put all the pressure on US and threatened to not close because the person under Mike Bedell , one of his scrubs, Ryan Denove lied about paperwork ! As soon as we can refinance we are. DO NOT USE THIS MORTGAGE BROKER !!!

Patience and Performance
I feel like Mike became a member of the family during our process. We switched houses THREE times. He fielded texts from me like a short stop in the World Series. He would even respond after hours. He came to our house after we closed and brought us LUNCH! Couldnt ask for a better mortgage officer!

Efren's Tip: It is hard to provide feedback when you have a great service. However, I had two minor issues, issue with the insurance company (not a lender issue) and a misunderstood for closing with Henderson Law. I am completely sure that Bedell team told them that the closing will be mail out but looks like the firm missed that important detail. The good news both get together and figure out to work with the situation. Actually , Mr Bedell took control and made the issue get resolved. I had done few closing and this one was the easiest closing in my life. Thank you Bedell Team

Michael Bedell is the first NC Loan Officer I had the opportunity to work with and it was a pleasant one! Michael kept me informed throughout the entire process and was detailed oriented when I needed him to be. Expensive - Pretends to be helpful but not really
Symphonee's Tip: FBC starts with a high par rate and charges a lot for points to bring it down. While other lenders charge lower FBC charges high because of its preferred lender status knowing borrower is forced to use you. Not ethical

FBC Mortgage is a recommended lender when you want to purchase house. They had a promo with lower interest rate and gave us a super good deal! The process was very smooth, we just submitted our requirements and whatever they need. They processed everything on time. Mike was there with us all throughout to inform, to communicate what's needed, never forgets to check on us during submission, during underwriting process, closing day up to post closing day! Michael's Tip: The only thing I would say to future clients is to go over the pre-disclosure's as best as you can. Even though I was presented with the pre-disclosure, I missed a cost on my loan that I wasn't expecting. For example, on my mortgage insurance, I saw what my monthly cost would be for the mortgage insurance, but I missed the up front lump sum that I had to pay for the mortgage insurance. I just believe those important items should be verbally discussed with the clients instead of just sending the disclosure and leaving it up to the customer to understand. Those forms are a little overwhelming to people not in the loan processing business and important items can easily be missed.
