This was the most stressful situation. It seemed like there was a revolving door of people who did not have my information and I repeatedly had to provide them with most of the same information. The only redeeming factor was Dylan. He was responsive, cordial, prompt and very nice. I suggest you try to take better care of your customers and make a stressful situation a little bit more user friendly.

Convenient but technology limits...
It was very convenient to work with a company over the phone and online. However, I think with the lack of face-to-face communication there is a lack of accountability to the digital customer. There were so many mistakes with our loan!! I think they would have been avoided if someone had to look us in the eye and shake our hand at the end of the whole process...
Stephanie's Tip: Be diligent in your communication... if you think there is an error or something is missing KEEP asking about it until you have a resolution. It may fall through the cracks as it did with my loan....

God Awful
One would need an unabridged thesaurus to correctly come up with a derogatory term for FBC Mortgage. Feckless, inept, unprofessional. Incredulous and needy—they will have you send and resend sensitive information that they say they never received. They will ride you down to the last hours before you’re good to go for closing. Their loan originator couldn’t put together a business plan for a lemonade stand, absolutely the worst source for answers. He is NOT there to help you, understand that going in. Their underwriting people are uncaring and impossible to please—credit scores of 820, net worth of six million, doesn’t mean squat to them.
Michael's Tip: Since I don’t mean to offend, I will soften my language as to not be derisive or obscene. But what follows is coarse, but true: there is a great difference between dinks and dicks. FBC Mortgage is staffed by the latter.

I had a great experience having my Refinancing handled by James Sommer at FBC Mortgage, once I decided on the company and loan officer we were off to the races. James set a clear expectation for me so we could close in 3 weeks. He was available every time I called or emailed him a question about paperwork, and we closed on time. The numbers were as promised, so there's not much more I could really ask for. I will definitely recommend FBC Mortgage and specifically James Sommer.
