Frustrated JWB customer
Lee was not very friendly or personable. It is absolutely crazy how many docs I had to send in to get this closed. I have 7 other investment properties, great credit and a 10+ year work history and they still needed me to get my boss to sign off on a few docs. It took forever and at least once a week I was requested to send in more doc. The even crazier thing is- a month before, I had sent in all this stuff originally on a property where the appraisal didn't come back. They still needed everything again.
Bret's Tip: Be ready to send in every piece of document you have and be patient.

Very smooth process, able to complete tasks on my time since document reviews were able to be completed online. Documents easily uploaded. Shelly was was also quick to get back to us if questions came up, and very pleasant to work with!
Tracy's Tip: Complete things as they ask, building a house is stressful enough was nice just being done with loan part, at least till right before closing.

I had a difficult situation with our seller and a few issues of my own that truly required patience and stamina and a willingness to work through the issues. After much searching, I found one company that outshines all the rest—FBC Mortgage in The Villages, FL. To be fair, the other mortgage companies I met with were also nice, helpful, and knowledgeable, but I felt like I was just a number to them. The difference is that FBC Mortgage gives over-the-top exceptional customer service. How? They met me at the door just as I arrived at their building, escorted me to their offices, and along the way introduced me to everyone who worked there. This simple act shows they value their employees and made me feel valued by giving me all their attention. They asked what I was looking for in a mortgage and listened to what I had to say. They were super friendly, extremely professional, and did due diligence by contacting me several times since our initial meeting. They wanted my business.
