FAST AND EFFICIENT
Lisa worked efficiently and fast to process our loan since we barely had a 30 day window between selling our home and getting into a new one. She was with us every step of the way and always in constant communication. It was the easiest loan experience ever! I loved the videos that were sent to update each step of the loan process. I cannot thank Lisa and her team enough for helping to make our dreams come true!

Very disconnected loan officer
The whole process from beginning to end of our loan was extremely frustrating and disappointing to say the least. We were told we "had to go with" Jet Home loans in order to purchase our home through Dream finders even though we were already approved and working with another lender. Our loan officer Chris Austin was nice and very knowledgeable in the beginning and told us we could contact him at anytime with questions. When we did call or text him he was always busy at his son's soccer game or was not in the office. We would have to wait several days for him to get back to us and that was after multiple phone calls and text messages inquiring about answers. It got to the point that the information Chris was giving us was either contradicting or out right incorrect that we had to have our realtor ask questions for us to get any kind of direction. There were times where we had to send him the same documents over and over again because he either forgot about them or lost them. Our realtor had to send documents over 4 times to him to get him to apply our credits correctly to our loan. Our final closing documents that were sent to us 3 times (all with different dollar amounts) were all incorrect and then he tried to tell us we were paying more to close from documents that we did not sign or even see. It took me cursing him out through text to get answers on whether or not we were cleared to close and what the exact dollar amount we needed to wire less than 24 hours from the closing date and time. He never included me in the text conversations he had with my husband, and never updated us on the progress of our loan, we had to stay on top of him every step of the way. My husband and I were on the loan together but the only time I spoke with Chris was in the very beginning when we were introduced to him and on the last day when I cursed him out in order to get some clear answers from him on closing. Chris is extremely disorganized and a poor communicator with potential homebuyers in turn causing unnecessary stress and confusion. If it weren't for me keeping on top of him and sending in the required documents multiple times, we would not have closed because Chris did not review anything until 2 days prior to closing and then when he did, he had questions from our bank statements which could have been answered 6 months prior instead of 48 hrs from closing and our loan being sent back to underwriting where his manager had to get involved. I have done this process before but my husband had not, so he had a lot of questions and without my prior knowledge of home loans, we would have lost our house and it would have been due to Chris's lack of organization and competence in what he was responsible for and making sure his buyers understood everything.

Amazing Experience
Rick Brown was so helpful during the mortgage process. He is very competent and made the process streamline and less stressful. He is very organized and sent updates throughout the loan process and worked quickly and tirelessly for our approval. Our rate was lower than expected as well, great loan officer and great lender. He responded to our calls quickly and adequately every time.

Home loan frustration
We started to e loan process with a lady who was very helpful and who kept us informed and explained this complex and confusing process in terms we could understand. We were advised we had been initially approved. About 2/3 the way through the process, we were assigned a different loan officer. We signed a form that permitted him to use our previous information. However he had us complete the entire process again and, as far as we could tell, did none of the transfer. From then on we were told to continually provide additional information. Little or no explanation as to why. We felt like the loan officer didn’t believe us. The process of buying a new home, automobile, or any high value object is very stressful and it doesn’t help having additional stress placed on you by the person that should be your advocate. We felt more like he was a “prosecutor” than a team member or coach. With regards to Jet Loans, we did get a suitable interest rate and closed on time. The closing agent was remand made our closing the best experience of the whole five month ordeal. I would recommend Jet Loans but our Loan Officer needs more training and coaching before he should be assigned another client.

Jason's Tip: The FBC Mortgage application used to track the loan process is a bit annoying at times. Towards the end of the loan process we regularly received notifications of outstanding items to completed. However, after logging in the application would state there were no items to complete.

Not a magical first time home buying experience
To be honest, it wasn't the best experience. I am in the mortgage industry and there was an extreme lack of communication on the lender side. My closing date got pushed out several times and finally closed in 2 months. Typically a purchase is 30 days. I had several questions with my final CD and when I showed up to the closing table was shocked at how things changed and nothing major changed on my end from the documentation provided. And if I wanted to change my loan back to the original I wouldn't have been able to close that day, and I was literally sitting at the closing table. Closing took 4 hours because the lender didn't wire the full amount. If you are wanting/needing closing costs covered, just know it is probably not going to be the best experience. I've chatted with my neighbors and my story was not the only insane experience.

Good customers service
When I was in the process of buying a home I tried three different lenders, their rates were very high . Dream Finders (My seller) told me about Jet HomeLoans. When I reached out to Jet HomeLoans it took them about an hour to gather all my info to pre approved me, and they pre approved for amount I never thought I could qualify for. Jet HomeLoans made my home buying process so easy. Their loan Originator Chris Austin is always available, easy to reach,friendly and very knowledgeable. I am a first time home buyer did not know a lot about home buying. I called Chris almost every day during my home buying process with questions,he will answer and explain to the simplest way possible. I learned so much from Chris Austin about home buying. I can buy my second house without using a real estate agent.

Loan Officer Review
It always seemed to be an uphill battle dealing with my loan officer. All details were cloaked and there was a lack of transparency. I was shuffled back and forth between Jet Home Loans and FBC. When I expressed my concerns to the loan officer, he casually ignored me and ran my credit twice (I refused the third time when I was moved to Jet Home Loans). This has unnecessarily lowered my credit scores and caused undue stress. I was also forced to re-submit all documents twice and re-answer questions multiple time even though everything was submitted and uploaded on the portal and via email. He also refused to get me a closing disclosure or even the total costs for me for the closing, which is required by law, prior to my closing. When I pressed him for the final closing costs, he advised me to "pay extra" and I could a check for the overage after the close. Even the title company was surprised by that comment and they had to request for him to process my paperwork. When I received the final disclosure AT my closing, the figures changed substantially. Also I was forced to pay for the Appraisal that was ordered by him and now (after closing) i have not been reimbursed the $ 525. In conclusion, I would not recommend this loan officer to anyone since he is not transparent and not at all helpful. Also he took the joy out of the purchase of my new home. I would be happy to discuss this further and provide email correspondence between the loan officer and myself.
