My Home Buying Experience During the Pandemic
My loan officer was super nice in the beginning, but later became unresponsive as we got closer to closing and I started to feel pressured by the builder and my real estate agency to go to closing with outstanding issues. I prefer phone conversations for this type of transaction versus receiving videos or documents electronically. Cash to close was higher than expected w/o receiving an explanation from the lender.
Fanniece's Tip: Going with the builder's lender was an attractive offer since they paid for the closing cost; however, the rate provided was much higher than the local credit union for someone with excellent credit and very little debt.
