The devil is in the details
Everything went very smoothly. The city was spelled incorrectly throughout and my escrows were left off and had to be added back. There were three revisions to the paperwork and the closing was delayed by a few hours.
Anne's Tip: Be very clear from the beginning and remind them when you are getting close to closing about whether you will be escrowing your property taxes and/or homeowners insurance. Make sure you confirm it in the preclosing statement.
