Joanne has gone out of her way a number of times I am not all that Computer literate and she had to take time to tell me how to get information to her along with signatures and initials. Also I never had a time that If perchance she missed my call she took more than 15 minutes to get back to me.She made the entire process manageable.

The loan closed after a prolonged process impacted by different loan processors and what seemed to me to be a disproportionate number of questions from the loan underwriter about matters which seemed not to be truly relevant to our ability to pay the loan. I think we had 3-4 loan processors, one working from an office that closed. When dealing with the loan processors, they were always pleasant to work with and seemingly sympathetic.
Robert's Tip: There should be a simple guide on what you maybe asked to confirm. e were asked numerous questions about some independent legal work I do which I believe was unnecessary as our other income was more than sufficient to meet any of our financial obligations. Similarly we were asked to clarify larger payments on our credit card debt which was to me unnecessary.

Where to start? Bambi, Heidi, and Kyle were are very nice and easy to work with. The process itself though was grueling for the FHA loan. There were a few times where I was asked for info/documents that I had already provided, as well as times where we were surprised because certain things weren't disclosed upfront, such as paying for the appraisal BEFORE even starting the building process. Also, the mortgage insurance is for the life of the loan, not until 20% of the appraised value is paid in like a conventional loan. I was also told that FBC services their own loans; however, at closing, we were informed that our loan would be services by some other company.

The FBC team was very professional from start to finish. They were quick to answer any questions and address any concerns, and were sensitive to the needs of the customer at all times.
Paul's Tip: If you're doing a REFI in November, be aware that PROPERTY TAXES are due, and "choose your battles" with regard to who is going to pay them (old lender or new lender)! Coordinate your closing carefully!
