Short turn around
I had not purchased a home in 25 years, so I did not know what to expect of the process. We had a tight turn around time line, and the FBC crew came through for us. I think it was three weeks, or slightly less, from contract agreement to closing. Scott and Sarah were extremely prompt in responding to all of our questions, and from my perspective, they were in lock step the entire time. I'd use FBC and especially Scott and Sarah again in a flash!

Worst experience ever
I would never recommend this company to anyone. After weeks of delay and continued persistent I finally closed. It was like these people never approved a loan before - the left hand didn't know wha the right hand was doing.

In May of 2017 my wife and I were in search of a new home. A few days into our search we found the perfect home and selected a mortgage company. We excitedly signed the contract and we were scheduled to close in mid July. After sending in several letters of explanation, countless documents and spending many anxious moments waiting to know if we were "cleared to close", within days of closing we were denied the mortgage. My wife and I were devastated. We were later told about FBC Mortgage and specifically about Arnold Martin. She said that "we would really like Arnold." When we intally spoke with Arnold he was kind, courteous and very optimistic about helping us obtain a mortgage and close on our dream home. She was right, we did like him. As an aide, we live in GA and school starts the second week of August. My wife's goal was to be moved into our new home by the end of July and expressed that to Arnold and his team. Arnold made a solemn promise to us and literally guaranteed that we would close by the end of July. With some reservation we started the loan process with FBC and Arnold's team. They literally had us off and running.There were times when things were moving so fast that we found ourselves dumbfounded and speechless. Many times we would both say how it seemed so unreal. But from the beginning they were consummate professionals. They were great at taking calls, answering emails, and getting us what we needed to "clear to close." I can not say enough how effective Arnold and his team were at making sure we were not dismayed. Moreover, when we started the loan process our interest rate was 4.125. We were hoping to have a lower monthly payment and as we approached closing, on his own volition, Arnold was able to obtain us an interest rate of 3.875; a potential savings of $70 a month. During the loan process there were some very stressful moments for us and when we would express them to Arnold and his team, he and them reminded us that the issues were insignificant and that we would be closing soon. Had it not been for Arnold and his team we would have given up.
