Best company for your loans!
The staff and management were awesome in helping my family and I to be able to get into our new home. Jeff and Jordan did an excellent job with the paperwork and making sure I knew exactly what type of documents I needed to continue reviewing for the loan. Communication was key and they did not lack in that aspect. Overall I would recommend them and have done so already!
Melanie's Tip: Make sure you stick to the plan with the paperwork and don't decide to change jobs, check to make sure your credit history is correct before moving forward.

Need better communication during the process
From Contract to Closing was just under 17 months, and I was dealing with first FBC, then RMC during the entire process. I have no idea how busy my loan officer was, but I feel I could have gotten a earlier lock on my rate if communication was better. As far back as Jan 2021, I asked how early one could lock on a loan....never heard back. In Jan of 2022, I started inquiring with my Sales agent as well as my loan officer about rate locks. I was told they were "going to do a webinar soon" and I would have all my questions answered. Weeks, then months went by and I finally demanded info. (I have a number of unanswered emails regarding rate locks that I sent.) By then, rates had started to climb. I was also hearing rumors of shennanegans that RMC was playing with customers to mess with their loans, either to delay them and then going over the lock date, or to get the customer to cancel their contract. I was terrified on losing the house, so I kept my head down and just prayed for closing. Tina was a big help and returned my emails and calls, Dylan was great also, then they took him off my loan. Sorry, Molly dropped the ball and RMC will never get my recommendation or business. From what I read and stories I hear, they are borderline predatory lenders. Below is a question if I would recommend my loan processor. I am not sure who that is. If it was Tina, I would give her a great rating.
Lynne's Tip: The $4000 in Closing costs covered by RMC aren't worth the headaches, heartaches and anxiety dealing with them.

Jonathan was great, but.
First off, I want to Jonathan was great after our first conversation. He handled my situation very well for being as upset as I was. From our second conversation on he was right on time, very helpful and did absolutely everything he could to help me out. Now, as far as RMC as a company goes, I would never use them again. When we started our process in November I was given an interest rate around 3% which was the going rate at the time. I had asked, not Jonathan, but another employees very specifically if I could lock the rate at this point. I was told no, and this employee told me a couple of lock ranges. The next time I spoke with them I was informed that I could have locked for nearly a year. This mistake on their part cost me nearly 2 more percent in interest. RMC did very little for me in terms of correcting this mistake. I would not recommend them as a company, but I would 100% recommend Jonathan. It seemed he did everything he could to help me out including calling me nearly daily for a while to give me the daily rates and his input. Thanks to Jonathan I did end up saving myself some money by locking at the best time I could after rates started rising.
Donald's Tip: Know that they offer very extended rate locks, and if it is looking good lock when you can. Ask Jonathan about the details of what happens if rates drop, he was very detailed and made my decision easy.

Roller Coaster Mortgage Ride
Used RMC due to them working with the builder and paying closing costs. Be very cautious if you use them. The entire process will be a roller coaster ride from the beginning. We started as FBC and changed to RMC. Then after the switch the documents submitted were not looked at or dealt with until 3 months to closing(almost a year later). This made the loan process a headache. Communication is horrible. Asked to lock my rate and was told no. Then I asked why was I not notified to lock as rates were rising knowing I wanted to lock and was told it's my responsibility to keep an eye on that and not my loan officers responsibility. Overall was the worst mortgage experience niggtmare I have ever had to deal with.
Wayne's Tip: Make sure everything you do with them is in writing. Even if it is a phone call, follow it up with a summary email.

Highly recommend
I worked with Nichol throughout the process. She is amazing. So down to earth and knowledgeable and always got back to me in a reasonable amount of time. She even caught a mistake on my credit that another lender didn’t that increased my pre approval rate. She walked me through step by step and we made our closing date also which these days is impossible. I was very impressed by the entire staff and would highly recommend them.
Chad's Tip: Make sure you have your bank records in order and know what each transaction is for. Any lender will thoroughly go through basically your life. Be patient with the staff. It’ll get very frustrating and aggravating but you’re in good hands.
