The beginning of the loan process was AMAZING, QUICK AND SMOOTH. But once our paperwork hit underwriting, it all went down hill. I would email Ronald Powell &Vicki Thomas about updates and crickets. Turns out someone look at our paperwork, sat it down and forgot about it.... if it weren't for me being persistent it'd still be in understanding. For weeks I had been asking for the branch managers name and number and was ignored. Our original close date was February 4th. They sent an email (February 2nd) changing it to the 10th. This was unprofessional and devastating. We would've been homeless because we were in a rental. So with my own research I found the branch managers name and number. Within 24hrs our closing was moved to February 5th. I'm happy we got the loan but I honestly would recommend

Really quick closing and they still got everything they needed to get the loan approved. Document collection emails are brief and to the point. Easy to use and attach your documents. Signatures all done on the same platform. THIS IS A GREAT TEAM AND LENDER!!!!
Scott's Tip: Be prepared for follow-up when you provide info. Understand that it's not the lender who has to document sources of funds,. This is required and it doesn't feel friendly but they are just doing their job. Better to just get what they need and they will assemble your loan docs very quickly!

My husband and I are now first time home owners thanks to FBC! We were referred to Courtney by a family member. From the first phone call to the very end, she was so incredibly helpful and involved. She sent us everything that we needed, she was very responsive and always answered our questions quickly. As someone who has never owned a home before, it was very overwhelming, but Courtney and her team made the process so easy!
