The Best Lender EVER!
The homebuying process was so stressful. I had a lot of days I felt so discouraged. Mr. Powell was so encouraging. He made sure I stayed above water and didn't give up. Mr. Powell was heaven sent. I will forever be grateful. He is the best loan officer! You won't go wrong choosing him and FBC mortgage.

Unsatisfactory Customer Service
Customer service needs tremendous improvement. Audra was not super helpful in the beginning but got better and friendlier towards the end. Only person we were satisfied with was Tarek who offered good customer service throughout the entire process. Scott Fosgate never returned our call nor our realtor’s call to get answer with an issue we found out about during our 2 1/2 hr wait at the title company. Escrow was supposed to close on Dec 15, we asked to move it one day later to the 16th since our flight was scheduled to land late afternoon on the 15th. We were excited going to the title company to sign the final papers only to find out there was an issue with the gift money which we were not told about. After our long wait at the title office our excitement subsided bcuz we couldn’t close escrow that day even though on paper they indicated escrow closed Dec 16. We had to drive back to the Brentwood office half hr away the following day Dec 17, waited another half hour cuz paperwork wasn’t ready and no one came out to inform us what was happening. Very frustrating but thankfully the transaction finally closed that day. Nice gesture by the title company to give us a bottle of wine from Trader Joe’s but customer service still needs much needed improvement as far as FBC Mortgage and Ark Title are concerned.
Darrell's Tip: Improve your communication with your clients and return phone calls in a timely manner. Don’t partner with Ark Title Company and instead use a different title company with better customer service

Flawless Service
I don’t think Kelly and her team could’ve done a smoother job. They are EXTREMELY responsive and don’t hesitate to help. The only MINOR issue we ran into was scheduling closing/insurance a little early. However, this was mostly due to construction delays and communication error letting Kelly’s team know. Only word to describe their service is incredible. We worked mostly with Alyssa and got to work with more memebers of the team along the way; which was nice! You get a bit of everyone.

After a failed attempt with a big name lender who had very expensive closing fees, Mr. Ronald Powell made me believe that my refinance was possible to close.
