Great work during a crisis.
I signed a contract a few days before Hurricane Harvey hit the Houston area. My home was then chosen for an FHA review for the appraisal and a random HUD QC review as well. The team in Tyler worked hard to get my loan closed despite complications. I got my loan approval at 9:45pm 2 days before closing because they knew I had deadlines looming to get out of my rental. That is true customer service!

Great service
Mark and his team were able to get us closed even though we had a hurricane slow us down a bit. Things happened at the last hour to get us to the closing table but I guess with loans in today's time that is all normal. We will continue to refer people to Mark and his team.

All was well until near closing when I kept getting switched to a new contact person every 6-7 days. Had to resend info because of th switch. Communication was lacking at closing, like trying to get the closing amount ( they told the title co that they would contact me with the amount due at close and they never did). It was 3 hrs until close and I had no info. Also, the closing was delayed because FBC wasn't ready. Why? No clue. All else was ok but it was hard with all the contact switching and the communication process. Otherwise, I don't have complaints.

Great Customer Service - A+ Team!
We are extremely pleased with the level of customer service we received from "team Heath" during our mortgage process. They worked very hard to process our loan and got everything done within a three week period. They were always available to take my phone calls and to answer any and all my many questions. I was kept up to date of every step of the loan process and I would definitely recommend Christine and her team to anyone that needs a mortgage and would definitely use them again, should the need arise.

Too many ppl
For the most part I had an ok experience w FBC. Things got rather difficult as we got right at closing. There were too many people working from the same office that should've communicated to each other a little better before they asked me for something I had already given to another person in the office. Lots of repeat info had to be given. Very last min these last two weeks. But overall they got me in my new home on time even w a storm coming straight thru the state.

Not What I Expected
The communication efforts needs major improvement. I was asked for documents more than once that were previously submitted. I did not always receive a response to my emails. Much of the information I received regarding the status of my home was through asking others outside of FBC questions. When questions were asked that seemed to be very personal, no rationale was given as to why the information was necessary to process my loan. I learned of three different closing dates, but neither of them was provided to me by FBC. Therefore, I cannot say whether I closed on time or not. When I asked about a possible closing date, I never received a response. I just received another email asking for more documents. I expected more with this experience. The lack of communication and repeated document requests made this a very stressful experience.
Eula's Tip: Research the home buying process as much as possible. It will be helpful to have someone that is familiar with the home buying process so you will know what to expect.
