My realtor recommended FBC Mortgage for my home purchase as I relocated to this new (for me) state. At the same time, I explored my options through a large, nationally known lender with which I have had three different mortgages in the past. Ultimately, I went with FBC even though their rate was 1/8 point higher, because their customer service and online operations were superb, and I was experiencing exactly the opposite with the national lender. FBC's agents answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly. The online application and loan calculator processes were clear and simple to follow, and immediately showed me the details I needed to know. Of the eight homes I have bought in five different states, this transaction was by far the simplest and most transparent. I will not hesitate to use them again and highly recommend them to others.

I have never had so many issues with a mortgage process.
Scott's Tip: Go somewhere else. They had no clue what was going on. They tried increasing rates they tried to add all kinds of fees to the closing. You can’t just agree to what they say. I had to do a lot of work on my side to keep them honest or I would of paid a lot more at closing then I should of. They made so many mistakes if I didn’t stay onto of them the closing date would of been delayed.
