When you land a conventional mortgage rate of under 3% you are a happy home buyer. Although this was the fourth home we have purchased, we still appreciated the way FSB kept us informed every step of the way. Sonya and her staff were all incredibly pleasant to work with. Sometimes it seemed like Elaine Soto was responding to a call or email before she could have possibly had time to receive it.

I was very happy with Joanne and Elaine. They are professionals with strong customer service skills. they were available, knowledgeable and and responsive. The Portal was very user friendly and effective. Where FBC fell down was the final steps handled by the closing department. I made very clear my schedule and that I would be unavailable so I needed closing amounts so I could wire the money before I went out of town. I wound up getting the Closing Statement on a Friday afternoon at 3:00 with requirement to review and sign before 5 or closing would be postponed. Never saw the actual closing documents until at the closing table and there were errors that had to be corrected and some we could not correct.
Dennis's Tip: Demand to be provided all closing statements and closing documents 5 days before closing to allow time for review and correction if necessary. factor that into the schedule.

I was not impressed with communications most of the time. If I called Lee I was often referred to someone else. Lee got the job done but it was up to the last minute before getting closing costs, etc. Created stress when doing a 1031 exchange.
