This is the second time I’ve worked with Nancy Furches At FBC Mortgage and once again everything went smoothly from start to finish, no issues, mistakes or last minute problems and Nancy is a delight to work with. I’ve never before worked with such a professional and experienced team, you’re kept informed every step of the way and for both loans we were ready to close a week ahead of schedule!

Nate Johnson is an amazing lender, he has stayed. In touch with me after we signed the original closing papers and then even suggested the refinancing of my house and explained everything in plain English and was honest about everything. He has also made time to return or take my calls if i had any questions, for example, i was having a hard time figuring out how to set up paying my house payment on line and i called Nate and he helpled me figure it out and get it set up,. He is an awesome lender and will definitely be contacting him in the future if/ when i decide to refinance again.

Sonia's Tip: Make sure you have all the required documents readily available. It helps keep things moving. Whenever the lender sends a request for something...get it back to them ASAP! Again, just helps things to flow nicely.

Paperwork nightmare, literally
Loan officer did great , underwriting stage was invasive, redundant, eg typo on credit report required me to creat a signed affidavit stating that my house is not an apartment. I own some rural vacant properties, I was required to create an additional affidavit stating that my vacant rural land did not have hoa , bizarre and a frustrating waste of time . Refinancing a loan also with Fbc that was way above market rate due to non overdue consumer dept being held against us . We paid off all consumer debt to zero balance. We really wanted the place so we gave in . 10 months later we originated this loan to get market rate . Only financing 60% of homes value . Still needed to produce all property tax documentation from other properties again . Needed to produce homeowners insurance documentation again even though my homeowners is paid from an escrow account held by this bank ! If you like the idea of an insulting amount of underwriting BS this is the bank for you . At one point on my original loan I was even asked for my password for the automated HR site my job has to “hack “ my account for underwriting documentation. Yes, seriously.
Steven's Tip: Get ready to get every little bit of your personal financial information gone over by underwriting. Often in very unsecured formats .Literally everything.
