Accommodating
The team was very accommodating for the most part. During the initial contact to start the loan process, I felt that they were great with communication, however, when it came time for the closing process I felt that they were not very informative with where we were in the process. They requested follow up information (bank statements, pay stubs, etc.), but upon delivering the requested documents to the team I had to conduct my own followup to see if the documents were recieved and what was next. Also, I am not sure how much the team was communicating with Adams Homes about the progress of the home. I am only going off a hunch because our closing had to happen on the 8th of April in order to prevent from having to resubmit the same requested documents about our bank and employment. The house was not ready and we could not close any sooner than the 8th which leads me to believe that our rate lock-in should have happened a week or two later than it did.

Closing with honest people
After going through 4 lenders and narrowing down who had the best numbers with the lowest rate, I decided to go with FBC because they have me the lowest numbers from the start. I didn't have to convince or ask for the best deal. I like that, because let's face it we aren't all mortgage lenders and have no idea who's fooling us and who's not. I felt like they were honest and up front and I made the best choice.

I can't say enough great things about Shayfer! Being first time homebuyers, we had a lot of questions about the process and he was always quick to help us. Shayfer was available by phone and texting which made the loan experience much more convenient. Even when I would text him panic questions late after work, he was more than happy to help. Our experience was smooth and easy from my first phone call to inquire about pre-approval with Jonathan. He was thorough and patient. He answered all of my questions and helped me to make the best plan going forward. This is the third time I have bought a house, and working with Jonathan and FBC was by FAR the easiest experience for me. They were clear about everything from the beginning and told us what would be expected at every part of the process. I can't say enough good about Jonathan and FBC. I believe we now own our forever home, but if that would change for some reason, I would not hesitate to work with Jonathan again.
