I had a very busy experience obtaining this home loan. At times, I felt it wasn't worth the effort I was involved in. I had a wonderful loan processor Bonnie Pater who was there every step of the way helping me during this process. At the end, it was well worth the effort. My advice- prepare to have personal matters correct and available to upload and submit to make the loan process go somewhat smoothly.

My loan officer was Eric Debose and he has been in the business well over 20 years! I will say he is straight to the point. He is very transparent. For the most part he will answer any question's you have even advise you of things you don't think to ask! He really knows the business and he wants you as a client happy at the end of the day. If your a first time homebuyer he will do everything in his power to guide you and keep you informed when its needed. I would also like to acknowledge my loan Processor Felicia Neal. When I tell you this lady has been very on point with handling business. When she send you an email it's grind time get it to her in a timely manner asap. She will answer her phone right away, she responds to her email instantly. She strives for excellence and she is amazing!!! I'm very happy with their services overall!

This was my first time buying a home and Sam Davis and his team made it a very, very pleasant experience. Sam Davis and his team had no problems EVER with taking the time to talk with me to help me understand the complicated process of applying for and obtaining a mortgage loan. It didn’t just stop with Sam. Once I got to the underwriting process, Sara Spaulding was my contact. She was just as fantastic as everyone else that I had spoken to up to this point, even going as far as contacting me when she was out of the office when I had a question for her. I really, and I mean REALLY, enjoyed my experience with FBC as a whole, Sam Davis and his support team, and Sara Spaulding. Good Experience with FBC Mortgage
My loan officer, Mr. DuBose was very knowledgeable and offered good advice with some of my credit concerns. The other professionals I had the opportunity to work with at FBC were also very helpful, especially, the Team Loan Mortgage Originator, Ms. Gail Mollenkopf. Ms. Gail answered all of my e-mails, all of my telephone calls and even allowed me to cry when I didn't think I would be able to get a home for my kids and I. She was so very patient with me and directed me the entire time through this at times stressful process. I got really lucky to have someone with such a kind heart & actually CARED about WHY I was trying so hard to get a home for me and my two children. Words can't express how GRATEFUL I am for all the advice, assistance and concern, Ms. Gail showed towards me during this hard process. FBC did a wonderful thing when they hired her. Not only does she know her job very well, but, she cares about the consumer; and that's a hard combination to get. Lisa Stewart was my Loan Processor; and unfortunately, I didn't build a rapport with her, but, we did communicate via e-mail and I got her the documentations she requested.

Fbc lack of communciation
In the very beginning things were great and Lynn always contacted me back even after hours on her own time. But towards the most important point communciation with fbc was a nightmare. I'm not sure if the employees are under staffed but it is very hard to get thru to them when a problem arises. For the final 2 weeks of the closing process my stress level was thru the roof because of fbc and there lack of communciation and they would wait until the last minute for information and then put it on the consumers shoulders for being responsible for timely manner.
Evan's Tip: Don't use fbc unless your able to spend time off to go down to local office to communciate
