Believe it or not, I'm 72 years old and this is the first home I've ever purchased--all by myself. I am ecstatic with my new home, and with the incredible service provided by FBC Mortgage and Island Title & Escrow. They were so responsive and forthcoming with the day-to-day communication required. I always knew what was happening and where I was in the process. Okay, I've already said I've never done this before, but I can't imagine any loan officer as caring as Jeff Duncan. 5 stars are not enough. The 97% loan I received was icing on the cake.

Met my standards
There was some miscommunication and mid steps initially. Then our loan officer abruptly left the company. Things got done but it was not an experience to over joyed with at all.

My husband and I are blown away at how easy and painless purchasing our first home was with FBC mortgage and our amazing loan officer Richard. He went above and beyond to be sure that ALL of our questions were answered and did so happily! He honestly made this experience so easy and fun! From the very beginning when we filled out the application, to today at closing, Richard was there. We are so appreciative of him and his time. Great Experience on a Refinance!
Initially, I was hesitant about using an "online" lender to refinance our home loan, but I am SO glad I did. I received two written refinance estimates, one from my current bank lender and one from Home Loans Today. Home Loans Today quoted me a lower interest rate and much lower closing costs. In fact, it seemed too good to be true. But it wasn't! We closed in less than 30 days and without any surprises. Audrey was very responsive, professional, and efficient. I never felt like I was "bothering" her with all of my questions (and I asked A LOT). The only part of the closing that made me a little uncomfortable was the notary bringing her boyfriend with her during the signing of the closing documents. He did not do anything wrong, I just felt a little vulnerable having another person with open access to my whole life--social security number, income, etc. But, I did appreciate FBC sending the notary to me--it was very convenient and efficient.

Good Afternoon, We are very pleased with the promptness and overall helpful knowledge of all the staff and especially the the work that Leslie Wertz helped us with. We were told we were shooting for a particular day and that helped tremendously in knowing we were taken care of efficiently and thoroughly. Any questions we had were answered promptly. We are not young and so the care of each of the staff on computer questions was and is an asset to your team. We highly recommend Leslie and all her staff!

Disappointed on the delivery of the loan closing and communication between information with us and to our realtor. The day before loan closing they overbooked the location where we were supposed to close, so we had to drive far for the closing. We were left in the dark and so was our realtor on certain details, for example our loan packet was not submitted to the title company until hours before the closing and the title company had no idea that we were even closing that certain day until the night before. We lost our security deposit on the house we were renting because we could not clean before leaving. We were on standby for a few hours for the loan packet to be processed right before closing. Received email that the loan was funded right before signing the closing docs to later find out that the loan still was not funded until after all the paperwork was done.
