Matt was a pleasure to work with...professional and friendly. He worked very hard to meet the expectations that I had. He got back to me via email and phone in a very timely manner. He was very detailed and knowledgeable in explaining all the different language/processes regarding our loan. And, if he wasn't sure of something he found the answer and got back to me shortly. His staff was also very efficient and great to work with.
Matthew's Tip: Get quotes from a few lenders and determine which one provides you with the best rate and is also easy to work with.

Matt was good, process was terrible
Dealing with Matt Andre was the only positive thing about this experience. The amount of information requested and provided was nothing short of ridiculous. All lenders ask for way too much information but FBC made other requests that I have not seen especially considering the low risk associated with our loan (this is the 3rd loan I've closed in the past 3 years). They actually asked to me track and justify specific deposits that were made in my checking account. It is very clear that all they're interested in having all of the paperwork in order so they can quickly sell my loan to someone else. In their world, the borrower is not the customer, the bank who purchases the loan from them is their real customer.

Working with FBC was a very pleasant experience. They made the process of obtaining a mortgage for our house seem very simple and easy! Matt was very knowledgeable and helpful, and answered any questions we had without making us feel like they were a burden. I would recommend FBC to any homebuyer, but especially for first time home buyers. They are guaranteed to have a great experience with FBC.

Exceeded all my Expectations
Matt Andre and his team at FBC Mortgage are awesome! They offered me a better rate on my mortgage than anyone else I spoke to, plus their "float down" policy gave me peace of mind to know that if the market rate dropped before my closing date I would be able to take advantage of an even lower rate. We closed our deal less than 30 days after I first made contact with them. Their website made it easy for me to upload necessary documents quickly and without having to drive across town to hand deliver them. The entire team kept me in the loop with constant communication as to where we stood throughout the process. I was very satisfied and will definitely refer FBC to anyone I know looking for a loan. My realtor also told me how impressed she was with FBC and said that she would start referring her customers to them as well.

That Was Easy!
Having purchase eight home in 30 years, FBC Mortgage was by far one of the easiest lenders I have had the pleasure in dealing with. We have all heard on how hard it is to deal with mortgage lenders since the real estate collapse in 2007.Not true with FBC. If you follow their instructions and submit the documents they request, the loan approval process is a breeze. Rates are competitive, and closing costs are very reasonable in relation to their peers.

Veteran, first time buyer and couldn't be happier!
After a year of house hunting, a dozen contracts and 5 months waiting for short sale approval, Matt, Steve and their team closed my loan in 30 days! I'm a veteran and first time homeowner and the team was quick to answer my questions and kept me in the loop throughout the entire process. Our rates were competitive and we are now paying $200 less a month than we were on rent and have a much larger home instead of an apartment. Ryan's Tip: Get your loan documents together in advance and present them to the lender in a timely manner. Paystubs, bank statements, or any other docs requested are vital to their process and they can close you much faster and easier if you present complete documents.

A good experience overall
I was given 3 mortgage companies to choose from by my builder and I chose FBC. Steve and Matt were very responsive and always available. However, FBC's rates seemed to run a bit higher than other lending institutions, but they did have good service. On the processing side, underwriting requests and conditions were very slow in coming and I found they waited until the last minute to iron these matters out which was frustrating.

My review is simple but to the point five stars in every aspect. One day I received a letter with a $5 Starbucks coffee gift card. It wasn't the amount of the card its was the thought of sending a gift. I've worked with other mortgage companies and I have no complaints but I never received a gift card. Thanks EP

Great experience
The process was great. I was kept in the loop on everything going on. The loan didn't close on time due to unforseen curcumstances (government shut down).Once we did get USDA approval, we closed in less than 24 hours. Kudos to Matt and his team at FBC Mortgage for all of their hard work!
