Frustrating
They were meticulous when it came to US having to provide information to them but when we requested updated information after changes were made they would just send us the old information prior to the changes. When we expressed our dissatisfaction we were talked down to because we couldn't assume what they meant. We had to deal with about 4 -5 different people and they were not coordinating amongst themselves which lead to having to do things several times. We were satisfied at the end but very frustrated with the process.
Tim's Tip: Have only one main person deal with the customer. Listen to what the customer says/requests. Don't act like your doing me a favor to take my money.

After about a month and dealing with Matt Andre & Maria Hernandez, my refinance closed. I was treated with respect by all. The nice part is that Matt explained everything to me as we went along. Thank you to all who played a part in making this happen.

From the beginning, Matt was very informative and patient. I know things were difficult at times, but Matt always made sure to explain things every step of the way to insure everything went smoothly with my loan. He was a pleasure to work with, and I am completely satisfied with how everything went from beginning to end!

The way it should be
We were able to get Pre-approved and have a letter emailed to us the same morning. We made an offer that was immediately accepted and were able to close in about 6 weeks. Their communication and internal handoffs were clear. There's no way to hide those credit skeletons so be sure to get those cleared up before applying. We started a year in advance getting the report clean and not applying for any new credit. If you can't get something off the report just get a letter of satisfaction from the lender. If your credit report is in good shape, you have copies of your financial records and you have the financial means them yours can go as smoothly. The folks at FBC were great. They helped us lock in a great rate and were easy to work with.
