Kelly made herself available at all times, picking up her phone during and after business hours. When interest rates fell, the rate that I had locked in was lowered to match the going rate. Review of FBC Mortgage from a First Time Homeowner
Overall, FBC Mortgage was successfully with securing my loan and having it close on time. However, communication was lacking. I went two weeks without hearing from anyone and after the two weeks silence I was told there was a problem with my loan. When I received this call it was from someone I had never talked with and all the people I previously had been working with were on vacation. This added an additional headache, which was not needed at this time. The Friday before my closing, which was schedule for the next Wednesday, I received a phone call at 6pm and was told I need to sign paperwork before midnight or I couldn't close. The positive side of all this is that the team did work to correct all these issues and worked hard to get back on track. Overall, I am satisfied with FBC Mortgage, I just wish the communication was better.
Kraig's Tip: Keep in touch with your loan officers team weekly. Don't assume if you don't hear from them things are moving forward. A weekly phone call will save you a headache down the road.
