We were extremely pleased with the refinance of our home in Feb. 2013. Tori Mosely is very professional and responsive. The entire process took less than 30 days and the rate and closing costs for refinance were much better than those offered to refinance with our original mortgage lender. Everything was done via email or mail and the closing was done at our convenience in our home. No hidden costs!

Home Loans Today Refi - Very Good Experienc
My experience with Home Loans Today was very positive. During the closing, the Closing Agent I used commented very positively about her interaction with the lender I used through Home Loans Today (we used Stephanie Fera). I really appreciate their high level of professionalism. I've referred a number of friends already to Home Loans Today.
John's Tip: One suggestion I would have for other customers is to get a good scanner if you do not have one. Ours scans directly to .pdf file and automatically moves the file to our computer. This helped us save time during the documentation process at the beginning of the loan process.

Pretty Simple
The process itself was pretty simple and easy. This is the first time I have done everything electronically and over the internet but it all worked out. I would do it again for sure! The only negatives was that my phone number was wrong on the original documents which I changed but those changes never it made it into their system so they tried to contact me on a few things (paper-work ect..) and claimed they could never get me. I wanted the amount to pay at closing to be more because I had budgeted for it. I know most people might not see that as a negative but I had the specific conversation with my loan officer 3 times and I wound up paying a different amount. Granted it was less so I can't complain but it would have been nice if they listened to my request. I would use them again and even recommended them to family and friends.

Great Customer Service
Throughout our refinance we were kept up to date with the current status throughout the entire process. Although there were some communication issues between the mortgage officer and the closing representative, they were able to work out the differences and get the job done. It was a pleasant experience.

Terrible customer service...ripped us off and lied
We applied for a FHA loan to refinance a home loan. Took over 6 months and thousands of lost dollars. Was not told about FHA insurance for 30 yr loans. We could have gone 15 years easily but was told loan for 30 years was only $97 a month plus taxes and insurance since we were planning on retirement in 2 years we went 30 years. At closing we were hit with a 700.00 payment including FHA insurance. We only borrowed 90,000 and we had over 50,000 already paid on mortgage. Our loan office Travis always had a an excuse, computer crashed, couldn't find things we sent him months ago, etc. Delay after delay and now we are paying dearly and will have to refinance again to get insurance off. Why were we not told about the FHA insurance. We were lied too and cheated at the end. Very upset

I reached out to the customer to discuss the details of their file and there were communication issues on our behalf. I have addressed and corrected those issues. The loan was originally originated as a conventional loan and due to certain circumstances we had to switch the product to FHA. The terms of the FHA product were not explained properly upon the transition. Because of the miscommunication, we credited the client an additional $1500 off of their closing cost. Excellent Refinance
I wasn't sure about choosing a lender online that I hadn't dealt with before. However, Home Loans Today has excellent review ratings on Zillow.com and I decided to give it a try. I am extremely glad I did. Their communication was phenomenal. They kept me informed and emailed/called me frequently. I was also impressed with the online application and forms. It made the paperwork process quick and easy. I would highly recommend Mark Hoffman and Charlie Gold to anyone looking for a great experience with refinancing.

Ann Kelly and her associate Nina were of the highest quality of a customer service experience. When questions from the underwriters arose they were responsive and provided explanations that cleared items quickly. I highly reccommend this team. Seamless refinance.
Ron's Tip: Financing these days requires mountains of documentation and questions...the quicker you respond, the quicker your loan will likely close. This processing team did their job well.

Excellent execution
I've been through several home mortgage financings and this experience exceeded my expectations. In an industry that's know for opaque fee disclosure and changing loan terms against the borrower at or just before closing, this lender was just the opposite. They were very transparent on fees and honored their original offer to closing. The underwriting of my mortgage experienced one unexpected delay and they quickly took responsibility for this and made things right without an impact to me. I highly recommend this Lender and Loan Officer!
