Gary was very helpful in the initial stage of evaluating our situation and running an automatic underwriting program quickly. That allowed us to lock in our loan within one hour of our beginning conversation. The title fees and closing fees were less than normal for this type of transaction, allowing us to save and additional $350. I would not hesitate to use Home Loan Today and Gary Konkel in the future. I had a positive experience with Home Loans Today and my loan officer. I was always treated with respect and everyone was very helpful, particularly my loan officer. My only complaint was that despite having a long closing time and a relatively large downpayment, information requests from underwriting for information that was nearly irrelevant continued well into the process much later than I would have expected, a little annoying but ultimately everything was good to go. At the end of the day they were professional, helpful, and got the job done.

Billy was very informative and timely. I was not impressed with the unprofessional manner that your underwriter went about adding requested information. It was piecemeal and not orderly; an area for strong improvement. If I were to do it again, I would utilize Billy, but if the underwriter dept stayed 'as is' I would go with an alternate supplier.

From the loan application process to the closing, Dan Sullivan and Kara Wasserburger gave exceptional service. Every time I had a question (and I had many along the way), they were both very quick to respond and were always helpful. Dan was especially helpful at the time we locked the interest rate, and was even able to get us a lower rate after we locked when I saw that the rates had dropped. We were so appreciative of his work on our behalf. I also loved the ability to upload documents into the portal. It's much easier than it used to be, when we had to send documents by mail. We have purchased several houses over the years, but this was by far the smoothest and most pleasant experience we have had with a home mortgage lender. I would have no reservations about recommending Home Loans Today and Dan and Kara to others.
