I loved working with Amanda. She got us a great refi loan for our home that allowed us to pay off our pool. She’s very responsive and is happy to answer any questions you may have. And I have a lot of them! She was patient and very thorough. Always followed up on any outstanding issues quickly. Would never consider going to anyone else if we ever decide to refi or need a new home loan in the future.

Average experience
A lot of e-mail communication that is vague. That ends up requiring me to chase down complete answers. Multiple request for the same documents. I think I sent my pay record 3-4 times, and bank records for the same month twice. I informed them that I’d be paying $203K at vlosing with a $57K final loan. They did it at $200K and a final $60K loan. Then at closing they had it at $194 & 60. I told them the number weren’t right. They checked and said that they were correct. The next day they called and said I owed them another $6000, and that they’d made a mistake. I had to take and hour off work plus my lunch hour to deliver newly signed and corrected documents as well as spend another $20 to wire more money because they refused s check or cash. My time and my losses and expenses to correct a mistake that I called out at the start. No apology no reimbursement/ compensation.
Jeffery's Tip: Deal with a local bank that you can walk into and face to face get answers. I dealt with people in Owensboro, Bowling Green, and California.

Process too arduous and lengthly
By far the worst lending experience that I have ever had. I have had a mortgage loan in my name for 6 different houses over the span of 26 years with zero default or even a late payment. My salary over the past 3 years has more than doubled and I have zero derogs on my credit however, the requirements for a simply 30 year home loan was by far more than the very first loan I applied for over 25 years ago. I was asked for 4 years of tax returns and pay stubs to match employer issued W2 forms. The list of documents was endless! Then, there is the issue of TOO MANY HANDS IN THE POT! I was handed off to 2 additional people (plus the original person) over the course of the process because people were out of the office and not handling business or communicating with other. This caused a lot of "re-work" on my behalf not to mention the addresses on the application were entered incorrectly and not updated as needed, causing the loan docs to be questioned for not "matching". Thus the legitimacy of my application was questioned due to this processor over-sight. This was completely caused by "too many hands". For these and other smaller issues, I would not be likely to recommend this lender.
Donna's Tip: Do not be enticed by the $500 credit to using this "preferred lender"....there is a reason they are offering the incentive. Their process is too arduous and at least borderline ridiculous.

Best service it's impossible
Daniella Serrano was our Loan Officer. She made our way very easy. There was always a 100% effective and efficient communication. We always felt that she understood us. In addition, she always listened to our situation attentively and guided us through the entire journey. She answered all of our questions and we had his advice on time when we need it. We always felt we were in good hands. Better, impossible. Thanks Daniella for everything. If I buy a house again, I would do it again with Daniella Serrano.

To me this was a never ending process. The worst I have ever experienced. I have bought or sold 8 homes and this was my worst experience. Don't know whether to blame COVID or what. Loan was supposed to close in Oct, but due to delays this caused credit issues. I only allowed my credit to be opened for 4 months. Delay went past that. Had to reopen it and send everything back in again. Well over 100 pages. Plus interest rate went up from time we originally talked. They also for some reason listed it as a 2nd home. Never got explanation why. No other mortgage to pay. Now I have to jump thru hoops to get things changed.
Donald's Tip: If you can find your own lender outside of builder do it. I wish I had used Wells Fargo. Customer with them. You have to decide when signing your original PW.
