Quick but some bumps
Loan was processed quickly but there were some bumps with false reports on credit. Issue was resolved and loan was approved and closed. The real issue is how they try to quantify people into numbers. I don’t really understand why they even have a human contact. All they seem to do is enter info into a computer and see if the computer god says you can have the loan. Seems like something a decent webpage could do as well. They need to bring a human element back to something as subjective as who would be a good mortgage prospect. Problem is then they would have to hire more competent people to make such decisions.

Used FBC for David Weekley new home purchase
Prior to working with FBC, I had only worked with a small mortgage broker, who provided me with personal advice and service, and looked out for my interests. I am giving 3 stars because we did get through the loan process in a timely fashion and are satisfied with our rate. However, the experience working with FBC was very different from what I was used to. During the process, I dealt with at least 6 different individuals. I had to work with FBC due to buying new construction and I believe that they primarily have the builders interest in mind. I would not choose to work with FBC again but would instead work with my previous mortgage broker.
Sarah's Tip: Do your own research and be prepared. If you are purchasing new construction, read everything carefully and ask questions if something doesn't look right. I ended up paying closing costs above what was initially promised by the builder's sales agent because I wasn't diligent.

From the beginning to the end all individuals of FBC helped us navigate the loan process. Each person was introduced and explained their part in the gathering of documents and/or the processing of such.
Curtis's Tip: It was the intro to all personnel and their respective roles in our loan process that made us feel comfortable. If we had questions, often we knew exactly who to call and if not we were handed off to the proper party with ease.
