Non responsive
Had to threaten to pull the loan from them because it went to underwriting 3 times before approval. To many people working on the file and no one talking to anyone else. Had to supply documents several times.
Neil's Tip: Business must be booming for Matt and Jared. They have so they need to hire more people. They are non responsive and lose messages.

Loan Process was simple but could be improved
Matt Andre & his team were good to get me approved but there were too many times it felt like the team wasn't talking to each other, which caused my closing to be delayed. They were offering one of the lowest interest rates available and their closing cost wasn't too high, which is all that matters in the end.
Jeffrey's Tip: Start early with your loan process and make sure any electronic communication you send to one team member, copy to all of the people working on your loan.

Good Service for the Most Part
For the most part I was pleased with the service I received from FBC. Matt was always very kind to me on the phone whenever I had questions and always responded to my emails in a timely manner. However, there are a few areas of opportunity. I was initially told my deposit would be one thing, and then when I got the estimate, it was thousands off. I understand that there was room for change, but the way it was explained to me was this was a pretty definite number. I did not close on time. We missed it by one day, which was inconvenient. I kept getting asked for documentation on the same deposit when they reviewed my assets and when I called and asked Tracey why they keep asking for the same exact thing the response I got was "we must have overlooked it." Then since it was Friday and we were supposed to close on Monday, I asked "are you sure we are still going to make Monday to close?" and the answer I got was "oh yes everything will be fine." The title company called me a couple hours later informing me it was now pushed to Tuesday because FBC still hadn't sent them the required documentation.

Overall great
Overall, we had a positive experience with FBC. It was much more detailed and lengthy compared to our 2 previous home purchases. FBC required more information. However, everyone was friendly and got back to us quickly, even on the weekends which was nice! Sometimes we were called the wrong names, which was funny, though I could see how it might make some people frustrated.
Lora's Tip: Be sure to have everyone on the same page for what is required.
