Quick follow-up/response when I had questions, We did everything over the phone and online, closed on schedule with no problems or surprises. Too many rules
Easy to blame broker , lender , and or government , must be difficult environment to work in. Still do not understand why w-2 income trumps 1099 income and assets do not seem to count. Withdrawal of approval 5 days before closing made no sense and caused much consternation. Communication could be improved.

Smoothest mortgage experience EVER!
John and his team helped us refinance a condo recently. It was the SMOOTHEST, EASIEST mortgage related transaction ever. My main goal was to get a good interest rate and experience very little hassle during the underwriting process. John and his team accomplished that and MORE! Customer service was impeccable. LOVE, love, love John's straight-shooter attitude and communication style. We own properties in multiple states, have refinanced several times, etc. We are not mortgage virgins. We will certainly use these guys again in the future and recommend you do as well.

The loan process on our condo went just as planned - John's staff was very professional and responsive to our questions/concerns during the process. Hopefully we will not need another home loan. The amount of information needed and the apparent disregard of over 25 years of paying multiple mortgages on-time was a little frustrating. I feel the only information they deemed unessessary was my 6th grade report card! I know FBC is not directly responsible for most of this, but we did get the feeling that we had to drive the process in order to get our loan on time. We feel that the use of a typical project management stucture, with target dates, etc. would be helpful. We just got the feeling that they were constantly in firefighting mode regarding multiple customer loans. I guess the bottom line is we didn't nessessarily feel like customers, but rather people that should appreciate that they were being granted a loan.
