Worked hard under difficult situation
My wife and I put an offer on a short sale in April with the stipulation that we could not close in July (my wife was teaching out of the country). You can probably tell where this is going, the banks agreed to our offer but we needed to close in late July. John worked very hard to get the mortgage ready to close but also to get a week extension until we were both back in the States. I recommend John and FBC highly.

New Smyrna Beach Home
The whole process was a mess. We had to send at least four sets of information twice, because they were misplaced. We were told different things by different FBC people about various aspects of the loan process. We had personal data from another person e-mailed to us by mistake. The under-writer insisted on things that were very un-reasonable. Our loan documents made it to the title company late, almost postponing the closing.
Charles's Tip: Consider a different loan company.

Great Navigator

Pretty quick and easy
When I met with John to discuss a mortgage and start the process, he was knowledgeable and pointed me in the direction of the best loan for me. He told me he was shooting to close in 30 days and we did. During the process, the whole team was helpful regarding getting things needed by underwriting and kept me posted throughout.

Good Rate and a Good Experience
John Fosgate showed himself to be a very knowledgeable, energetic, positive, and responsible loan officer. There were some glitches on getting my deal to closing (which were not FBC's fault) and John and his staff worked relentlessly to overcome the obstacle and get us to closing. I got a fantastic rate and the closing itself was very smooth and congenial. I was impressed that John attended the closing (which would not have been required). Having the New Smyrna Beach office location made a big difference for me, since it made my application very easy to accomplish and I knew that I was dealing with a well-established and local lender.
Mark's Tip: Check out FBC's ratings on Better Business Bureau. It is very positive, and gave me assurance that they were genuine and fair.
