Although the federal loan approval process is grueling compared to a few years ago John Fosgate and his team did the best they could to make the whole experience tolerable. From initial questions to closing FBC was very responsive and detailed.

Review of process? John Fosgate in NSB did an awesome job. We met and easily and quickly filled out his survey. He stayed in coonstant contact. Carla Thomas was equally competent. Overall I felt as though if this is how FBC operates on a normal basis why would anyone go to any other lender.

John gave excellent advice that helped us breeze through the pre-approval and approval processes, and Carla was very attentive to the details throughout underwriting. Both John and Carla were very accessible and quick to return phone calls and emails and to resolve the inevitable small problems that arise with details along the way. After buying our home with John Fosgate's FBC team, I am convinced that having an experienced, hard-working, professional, LOCAL team is the key to avoiding the h*** that many people go through when trying to purchase a home. The process, with all of the regulations and documentation and contract negotiations, is not fun, but if you work with John's team and do your part with your docs, you'll be in your new home with the least amount of stress and headache possible. Working with John Fosgate and his assistant Alison Palmer made the mortgage loan process a breeze. They required very little from me except the usual documents any loan officer would need to establish a loan for a home buyer. My particular situation was fast tracked due to the short sale status of the home I was buying was going to full foreclosure and everything got pushed up 10 days. John and his assistant worked diligently to assure it all happened for me and I couldn't be happier with my new home!
Donald's Tip: Gather tax records, bank statements, etc. before starting the process ahead of applying instead of scrambling to find them.

I needed a loan to close on a home within one month's time. John and his team processed the loan well with few additional requests for documents along the way. They did a great job of continually communicating the status of the loan to all parties involved. Being a local lender, they were also able to give insight to some Florida specific items.
