I worked together with Roger on the financing of two duplexes, and he was the consummate professional throughout the financing process. It was a trying time for financing because of the rapid rise in interest rates during the construction process. However, Roger was able to get an interest rate lock early and then later, when construction of the duplexes was delayed due to supply side issues, he was able to replace the first lock with another rate lock with a later date and at a better price. Roger also was able to resolve the other issues that arose during the application process competently and swiftly such that when construction was finalized on the two duplexes, the two mortgages were ready to go, and closing was effortless. Thanks Roger!

Horrible process
It was nearly impossible to get in touch with Roger during this entire process. It would take days-weeks for a response ( if we got one at all) to an email or phone call. We had to submit the same paperwork multiple times for just about everything. We got an email 3 days prior to closing saying we were approved and we would get another email with the final closing direction would come soon. Never got that email. Had to text Roger the night before our closing at 8:30 pm to confirm our closing we still on.

Good and Bad
Stick with Jon because he is as professional as they come. The processor on the other hand, not as much. Poor grammar, explanations lacking and slow response times were very frustrating, not to mention that emails were all I got, not phone calls like Jon. We were also given a poor appraisal for our new home and nothing was done about it until we told them a poor review was coming. Sad that it had to come to that, but I didn’t want others getting caught up in the same situation.
Matthew's Tip: Communicate as much as possible with Jon. He is much more professional and easier to talk to than anyone else, especially our processor. If it wasn’t for him, this process would have been much more frustrating.

Poor Quality and Communication
Throughout the process details and explanations were very unclear. More specifically, I was initially denied, found a new lender only to find that PSH could process my loan. Original disclosure was incorrect, only to be told it would be fixed on the final papers. The final closing was very rushed, the sale price was wrong the day before closing, I was asked to move closing from noon to 4 so the paperwork could be completed, I was also asked to just wire a few thousand more to make sure I was covered even though the sale price was being corrected down $17k. The paperwork came over around 4:40 and there were items on there that was never on prior disclosures, the admin reached out to a few folks only for me to be reassured that it was the CDD and it is correct. After further questioning the adjustments, I still do not have specific details on what was added. I specifically asked for my property tax and CDD and I still have not gotten this answer, I was overcharged on my closing. The response that I did receive is they used the wrong tax year and the adjustment was wrong but I don't know the specific $ even after several requests. I was told they are really busy trying to close several homes prior to shutdown and they would likely resolve this sometime in January. This is very unprofessional and I would like to have a detailed review immediately with someone who can give me an honest objective answer. I answered below that I am not sure if I have the best rate, this answer is based on the integrity and attention to detail that I witnessed throughout my process.
Laura's Tip: Demand that the original disclosures are correct and don't allow the loan officer to push it off.
