Outstanding Service on Home Loans
I just want to take the opportunity to thank you Jody for all your support and help in closing my home loan. I had many questions and need clarification on many items. Jody was always available to educate me on the process and where we were in the loan process. His staff also kept me updated, almost daily. Their online process was quick and easy to use and their rates were very competitive. Thank you Jody for a great experience in my home refi. Would differently recommend Home Loans Today if you are in the market for a loan.

I was a little wary of using an online lender especially since my purchase mortgage with Chase had been a huge headache. But Jody and Jessica at Home loans today are fantastic. They closed our loan amazingly quick and were always very responsive. I would definitely used them again in a heartbeat.

Home Loans Today did a great job getting my refi done on time. I searched through several other companies and got the best rate at Home Loans Today. My loan officer, Phil Ferguson, was great answering the phone every time I called. The only negative in the whole process was the amount of documents that are required for evidence of financial stability. It is possible after the market tanked in 2008 that the rules have changed necessitating the extra documents. I have recommended Home Loans today to other friends and my father just got done using them to buy a new house. A+

Matt Cramer is a consummate pro. If it had not been for him, I would have turned my back on FBC MONTHS prior to closing. I would gladly endorse him with any of my friends or family. On the other hand, the lending process which required a copy of my wife's divorce decree from 20 years ago was ludicrous. She did not keep a copy and yet FBC would not accept a notarized statement from her stating the terms of the divorce. The divorce occurred so long ago that records in Michigan were stored in files in the basement of the courthouse. Finally the Title company was able to get a copy of the divorce decree, which stated that there was NO alimony, NO claim on any insurance, NO claim on any retirement benefits....property was to be split in accordance with a property settlement which was submitted to the court....and, unfortunately not attached to the divorce decree the Title company was able to obtain after more than a month of work. Again, no notarized statement from my wife regarding the property settlement was acceptable. I had to spend $400 to hire an attorney to finally obtain a copy of the property settlement. In my former years as CEO of an international company with about 100,000 employees, the intransigence I saw in the FBC process is what I would fondly refer to as corporate bull *****.....which I worked very hard to eliminate during my career. Someone needs to do to do the same at FBC. This is NOT a reflection on Matt Cramer - I'm totally convinced he did everything possible to help. And, oh by the way...this is the 2nd mortgage I've obtained through FBC in the last 6 months.

When I was still in the middle of deciding whether to continue renting or try to be a first-time homebuyer I was given Anthony's name and told he would take care of me.
