Where do I begin. As a first time home buyer I was very nervous and to be honest had no idea what the process of buying a home would take. Amazing Service from the Entire Team!
Laura and her entire team are amazing. I received 10/10 service from the moment I got my pre approval. No email was left not responded, no phone call left unreturned. Throughout this entire process Laura stayed in touch with me and answered all my questions. This portal to upload documents was super easy to use and definitely took a lot of stress off me. I will be using them in the future when I need another mortgage !
Kelsi's Tip: Have all your documents ready like I did such as bank statements, accurate debt statements and return requests in a timely manner. Doing those things made my process stress free.

Exceptional experience
We purchased a home in Palm Coast and have the pleasure of working with Coastal loans and their team . the whole organization were exceptional . Kent is our loan originator and Tracy is our processor , they both made our experience stress free and easy. They kept us in communication through emails, phone calls and video messages. They answer all questions quickly and help guide us through the whole process. This was not our first home however this was our first enjoyable mortgage experience . Kent is knowledgeable and help us with locking in our rate and explained the pros and cons of the rates . I have been in the real estate industry for many years, and I can happily recommend Coastal loans to all my customers, friends, and family . STAY AWAY FROM COASTAL LOANS
I would not recommend going thru coastal loans, they will tell you everything is on track and wait until the week of closing to tell you that you need to come up with more money than was agreed upon if you would like to be approved. They ask for the same documents 3 or 4 times, they ran my credit 3 separate occasions , they don’t update you on any news , you have to call and they don’t answer when you call. It was an overall horrible first time home buying experience. We also had a low rate and they did not want to lock in the rate and they waited 6 months to lock in a rate and the rate doubled so our closing costs went up ! Their underwriter also had our loan for over a month with no approval or denial.

When we started this process, I was completely unsure of the processes and steps it was going to take. Audrey and the rest of the team made it a lot more manageable and easy to get through the process. Even working at night on occasion to answer questions. They were great.
Clyde's Tip: For future clients, I have two recommendations - 1) be prepared to put in some work and effort to answer questions, and locate and provide documents and possible supporting documents of those documents and 2) if you do not understand something being asked of you or the information being provided, just pick up the phone and talk to them. They are very patient, understanding and will ensure you understand everything.

Regretful Decision
I’m very satisfied with my interactions and assistance from Rolando. I feel he was detailed and prompt to help when needed. My good experience ended there, I don’t know what happened, but it feels like someone just decided not to work on our loan anymore, we were constantly told the wrong information at the worst times, having to resubmit things that we had already submitted, it was a horrible experience. We were originally going to go with Better Mortgage, they offered a better rate with less points and were ready to fund within 2-3 weeks. Coastal Loans almost missed our closing deadline, charged more points, and I had to negotiate for a matched rate with Better.
