Fantastic Work!
I just want to highlight the Coastal Loans Team (Andrea , Victoria, and Jonathan) for their incredible work on my loan. Their turn around time moving me through the process was excellent. Resulted in me closing on the house asap. Jonathan specifically had really good response time to my day to day questions. He also kept me very up to date on the overall status of my loan. Victoria and Andrea were also a pleasure to work with! Just an overall great experience, and i couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

My only critique is sometimes ambiguous communications regarding required documentation and delays receiving clarification from contacting Coastal Loans. In the end, loan delivered in time for closing with no hiccups.

She was always willing to help and had a smile in her voice. Once I spoke with her all of my anxiety disappeared and I felt confident in the advise she gave.
Joyce's Tip: Realize that the buyer does not have first hand knowledge of company jargon on delivery deadlines. Taking more time and explaining what’s needed and giving examples would make process go so much smoother. Online tool is difficult to sign in to and time consuming. Need to streamline process while protecting buyers security.

Great rates and low fees. However the time it took was more than 45 days. At least it closed compared to trying to close with another company for 6 months.

(Also, for context, while my loan rate did expire, she was able to secure me an extension for my rate, and we only close 1 day later with the notary). A Smooth and Simple Refinance Experience
We refinanced our home recently and the experience was much easier than I anticipated. Victoria was very engaged and responsive despite her being involved in perhaps the busiest refinance season in recent history. She took the time to personally walk me through our disclosures and other documents over the phone. All deadlines were met promptly and every interaction was handled with the utmost courtesy. It was efficient for us to be able to communicate via email during the process. Our questions and concerns were answered in a timely manner. The only area of opportunity I would say is to let us know the closing date ahead of time. We felt like as we were going through the process, the next steps as for the documents needed were clear but it was hard for us to plan around a closing date that we didn't know about until a week before.

I had really good experience with Home Loans today and with my loan officer with my refinancing needs. I would probably recommend hiring a better appraiser to them. Other than that, i was completely satisfied. This was my second mortgage transaction with HLT and I look forward to working with them again in the future.
