Late, everyone forgot we were building a house and they had deadlines
Builder was late lender was late. House completion and 2nd loan approval (because 1st loan expired)was rushed. Results were rushed sloppy house with hidden & covered up flaws, which we are already finding. Lender wasnt even sure if they could make 2nd close date. 2 things on our to fix list are ready broken. Absolutely drained any excitement we had. We have home we will fix, hopefully it wont fall down on us or blowup. Sales person was nice in beginning and end of build process but removed lock box when we asked site supervisor questions and after we told her to put it back she threaten to remove lock box again if the president of the company needs it, I kept that emai. We were told we didnt know what we were looking at anyway. We would be happy with end product. We are not happy with alot of the end product. Sloppy work produces a sloppy product.
Michael's Tip: Keep your deadlines. Treat people nicer and provide a good product. None of which we got.

Tara's Tip: Make sure you get all of the paperwork requested of you in a timely manner. The sooner the better.

Last minute add ons
Over all we are somewhat satisfied with the lending however what was problematic was the last minute forms they would send us that were urgent. We received several items less than 24 hours before we were scheduled to close. I also never got a conformation from the lender or underwriter when I would send requested items. We would call and rarely would we get a return from Devi.

Relatively Painless Experience for First-Time Buyer
Quinta and Devi with FBC Mortgage made a daunting experience manageable. There were a few bumps in the road, but Quinta was patient, quick to respond and on top of everything. I would probably stick with FBC Mortgage for my next loan, too.
