First Rate Borrowing Experience
I just closed on my loan with FBC mortgage and I can not say enough nice things about my loan officer, Mike Bedell, along with his entire team at FBC. At all times during the process, I felt like Mike and the FBC team worked on the loan like it mattered to them, and not like I was just annoying them with my calls or emails (which were always returned promptly). I got the rate I was promised, the loan closed as fast as promised, and Mike really went out of his way dealing with hazard insurance quotes, prodding the realtors along, obtaining the survey, and other things that you'd not normally think your loan officer would do for you. This was far and above my best experience obtaining a VA loan out of several purchases and refis over the years, and if I ever need to refi or purchase another property someday, there's no other lender I'd bother to go to.
Wayne's Tip: You can speed things up greatly by having all your ducks (docs) in a row before applying. DD214, Drivers License, VA certificate of eligibility, bank statements, pay stubs, W2 forms, tax returns, etc. Don't wait too long to pick a hazard insurance provider, and if there's a deadline for a home inspection, don't miss it!

I contacted Mike for a second opinion since he did my original loan; the people handling my refinance gave me a $ but Mike came with $11k over that price. He not only knows his business but he also actively participated on the process saving me time and headaches.
