Worst mortgage experience ever
I worked with Karen Grim to finance a new home build in Florida. I resided in Georgia so communication was very important to me. From the first day Karen was non responsive. I reached out to her manager Michael Williams and he was able to get Karen to contact me after 3 failed attempts by me. Over the course of 3 months I spoke with Karen 2 times. She didn’t explain where we were at as far as the loan process, she gave 0 information on what was needed from my end. I had to reach out to my sales representative, Karen’s manager and other loan officers to get the information needed to proceed with the process. Towards the end of the loan process, I was permanently switched to her manager Michael Williams to finish out the loan process. Thank goodness for Michael as he was able to get me squared away to complete the loan. I’m not sure how Karen is still working as a loan officer as other reviews are identifying the same issues I had with Karen. Please save yourself from headaches and work with another loan officer as Karen is not capable of doing her job.

Working with Trailblazer Mortgage was one of the most hellacious experiences of me and my wife’s lives. Our realtor confirmed she has never seen a more ridiculous and complicated process in her career. We were kind, transparent, and did all we could to mitigate the issues, but it was clear that this company was working against us for reasons unknown. Specifically, Karen Grim and Gregory Thomas, who consistently displayed a lack of understanding for their job. They were untrustworthy, rude, condescending, never checked their emails which resulted in us sending the same things over and over again, and would make up different rules and regulations on the spot contradicting everything we were told previously. They constantly talked over us in conversation, hung up on phone calls mid-conversation multiple times, and refused to answer questions. It got to the point where we wrongly had to push our closing day back and were borderline threatened to be pushed back further unless we complied with their ridiculous claims. If it weren’t for my resilient wife and us being dead set on this house, we would’ve abandoned it based solely on our experience with Trailblazer Mortgage. Avoid this company at all costs if you value your sanity.
