Just OK service

The overall service from FBC was just OK. Grade-wise, I's give it a 'C'. John, loan officer, was very friendly. However, due to the inconsistent communication on his part and his assistant, Kristin, it caused us to lock in at a much higher rate. Calls werent always returned in a timely manner - extremely frustrating when time is of the essence. Loan processor, Samantha, was not all that friendly. And on two occassions, sent me wrong information via email - once it was intended for another customer and another time details were entirely incorrect. She was also slow in response to email communications. As a whole, this Pittsburgh office wasnt very proactive and it often seemed as if we had to make the effort to contact them with very poor response on their part.

Natalie's Tip: If buying in the Pittsburgh area, ask to deal with the main office (Orlando). Since everything is done by phone and email these days, it is not necessary to have to deal with the local office.

Great knowledge of Loan programs

I have had several buyers that talked to other loan officers before speaking to Jonathan. He offered a program of USDA that NO other loan officer even suggested to my buyers. This program saved the buyers thousands of dollars of out of pocket money. I got a very high level of praise from the buyers about Jon and a Happy Buyer makes the entire process easier. Great Loan Officer, Problem Solver

Jon was professional and took the time to work with us. When there was an issue with Fannie Mae, Jon was able to work through it just a week before closing and get us closed within 60 minutes of the original scheduled time and date from the month prior. We can't praise him enough for everything he did for us.

Outstanding Loan Officer With Years of Experience

I have been working with Jon financing my customers on new builds since 2005 and cannot speak highly enough about his experience and knowledge of residential financing. Many times when it appeared bleak that my client could not get financed, Jon would put together a plan to make it happen. And on the straight forward loans that were not a challenge, Jon was able to streamline the process and get the loan closed quickly and efficiently.

Expected Better

I do not feel like my best interests were taken into account and got little to no advisment. However, as I was told on two seperate occasions, they are very busy with the volume of Maronda loans they were doing. I guess if I had steady business coming in no matter what my service was, maybe I wouldn't care that much about my clients either. I will never use this company again and would never recommend them.

First time home buyer

As a first time home buyer and without using any real estate agents on either end Jonathan Marcoline and his team at FBC mortgage helped make the processing of my loan go as smooth as possible. I was never stressed out. My emails phone calls and text messages were answered very promptly. Jon locked in my rate at just the right time before the rates just started to increase. I would highly recommend this service and the team at FBC to anybody that is making a home purchase.

Excellent

FBC, specifically Jon and his processor Nichol Krumroy made the purchase of my home easy and enjoyable. I wanted to write this review because I had worked with 2 other lenders on this same loan that made the process extremely difficult and in the end they could not even get the loan closed. Once I found FBC, Jon immediately noticed a simple solution to what prevented the others from closing the loan. A few weeks later the loan was closed and all of the numbers were accurate and the interest rate was lower than any other lender I talked to!
