Everything was fine until the underwriter started asking for additional proof of money 1 - 2 weeks before settlement ( investments to cash), right before the Christmas holiday.

I was quite disappointed with the process of acquiring the loan for my house through your company. Most disappointing, was having to send the same information multiple times. I uploaded the information using your website. I also had to sent it to your loan officer and loan processor. I do not know how secure your website or servers are. My biggest concern is all the information I provided to your company maybe vulnerable and if you get hacked my information will be comprised. Another issue I have is that there weren't any introductions from my loan officer to the loan processor. I received emails from someone in your company asking for information I had already provided. I do not feel the process should have been this complicated. The only reason I gave you 1 star is because the system would not let me give you no star.

I am a 1099 person applying for a mortgage and underwriter requested many documents. Sonya was a wonderful help in the communications between the back office and myself keeping the paper flow moving along. If there was something I did not understand Sonya stepped in to simplify the requests.

Five star service
Sonya Olsen was the loan officer that I dealt with when purchasing my new home at Latitude Margaritaville Daytona. Having purchased homes previously, I was well aware of what my responsibilities were going to be. This was the first time I went through the loan process by myself as my husband passed the prior year. When I did not understand what was needed from me, I drove to Daytona with my laptop. Sonya never once failed to have time for me. She was committed to seeing me close on time. I did what I was supposed to do by not adding anything to my credit cards, supplying my 2017 tax return by the requested deadline, and any and all paperwork they needed. Sonya did what she was supposed to do: she secured my loan and I closed on time. She is an asset to FBC.
Ruth's Tip: Do what you are supposed to do when trying to secure a loan. If your loan officer asks for paperwork, get it to her as quickly as possible.

Closing on our home in Jupiter
My husband and I bought a townhouse in Jupiter 6 years ago. Sonya was our Loan Officer and she made the process so simple. We recently sold that townhouse and purchased a single family house, and we called Sonya immediately. Once again, she made the process so simple. We actually sold the townhouse and closed on the new home simultaneously. It was perfect. As a first time buyer in Florida, we really wanted to use a mortgage lender with a lot of experience. Sonya came recommended to me by a local real estate agent who insisted I work with her to purchase a home as she had many years of experience and would be a great resource.
