Very Pleased
The whole experience went very smoothly, and we were very pleased. Scott stayed on top of the whole process, answered all of our questions and worked with another FBC loan officer to coordinate the sale of our existing house with our new house. He was thorough, provided options and made the typical, stressful situation feel "under control." The closing was even very easy. No delays, no last minute changes. Would recommend him, would use him again.

Okay experience
Overall experience was okay. Only heard from Scott maybe three times throughout entire refinance. Never got a Thank You for your business from him even after the closing. Somewhat disappointing considering I myself have worked in the real estate business for over 7 years and would never have not thanked my client. Not sure how they expect repeat business or a referral for future transactions if a thank you is asking too much. We did however receive a thank you from the loan processor Brenda and a Starbucks gift card which was nice. Brenda was super nice but didnt always provide accurate information regarding the HUD statements. The amount on the HUD changed multiple times...even on the morning of closing! We ended up overpaying on our closing costs based on the amount I was given on the HUD...still waiting for a refund from the title company for my overpayment. Not a huge deal but kind of annoying to never know what amount to expect. There were some hiccups along the way in regards to underwriting, which we ended up doing more research than the underwriters and loan processors combined in order to to save $4000. Had we not done our research and relied on underwriters/processors we wouldn't have saved the $4000. Kind of upsetting having to do their work for them when that's what they are paid to do. Great lender and processor but want them to be aware of my concerns so that they can make a few improvements so they can achieve continued success.

Wonderful experience. We were first time homebuyers who knew nothing about the process. After working with Scott and FBC we feel like seasoned veterans. They made the entire process enjoyable and easy. I would would recommend and have already recommended the Fosgate Team to anyone needing mortgage help!

HARP Loan Review
We were extremely disappointed in this whole process. Where we were supposed to be able to do this with no appraisal and no money down it was the exact opposite. We had to get an appraisal and then at the last minute after 5 months of trying to get this closed we were told "sorry now we need money for closing, the HARP has a total cap on it." How do you not know that already as a lender? This whole process with FBC took us 8 months, when it should have been no longer than 90 days, and no explanation given for the long delay. I had to constantly follow up with them to see where we were at. I had many times emailed our concerns and that we were unhappy and no one ever addressed those emails. After starting this process in March we finally closed the middle of October. I can not in good faith recommend this service. It was an extremely frustrating process for us.
