My application and processing of my VA loan started with another loan officer, one day I received a phone call and e-mail from Matthew McDuffee advising that he would be taking over my loan process, from that day forward I received what I consider to be the best treatment during my loan process that I could imagine !!!! Matthew was very kind very informative and what I feel was true dedication to helping and making my wife and I very comfortable and assured that we were receiving the best attention and details to our loan process. Matt was extremely nice to work with. It's been years since I've applied for a mortgage and it certainly has changed! I thought they were going to ask for my first born before I was through! But, Matt kept assuring me that although it seemed difficult, things would turn out fine and they did! Would definitely recommend him in the future!

Extemely satisfied
After two near mises, one involving a short-sale and the other a shady builder, I was "gun shy" about trying a third time. Matt and his team were a relief after my previous two experiences. They communicated with me constantly and allayed my worries whenever I started to get stressed. If I left a message with Matt or Shayla, they called me back within a couple of hours at most, unlike my previous adventures when I considered myelf lucky to recieve a reply within 3 weeks. I will definitely recommend FBC.

All aspects of obtaining approval, securing, and closing the loan were good except for the rush put on by the seller to close the loan in less than 30 days. This caused some headaches and miscommunication between myself and the lender in obtaining appropriate information transfer. This may have been caused by the timing for the closing being around the Christmas / New years Holidays as mail and banks were closed.
Daniel's Tip: Get every piece of finanicial information ready and available as soon as possible. If you don't think you need the one piece of paperwork.....you need it.....so get it.

Unorganized and a times inaccurate. Disappointed we did not discuss loan rate options. But we did get everything done on time. It took many follow up e-mails and calls to make sure details were followed thru.

FBC did an excellent job completing our loan in less than 30 days. I gave 4 stars because I feel that they could have better explained terms and processes to us as we are first time homebuyers. Overall we had a great experience and would use them again!

August Closing
FBC worked with us when other lenders told us a mortgage on a second home wouldn't be possible. They worked down to the wire to do everything they could to get our loan approved and to close. They were honest with us and open with their communication. The numbers they provided us stayed true to closing and we are overall satisified with the experience and would recommend Matt again.
