Great Lender Services
Lee Utley at FBC Mortgage accepted us when we felt like our mortgage quote was too high with the lender we were already using and he was willing to look over the quote and let us know how he would be able to save us over $2000 off our cash at closing (that's huge!). FBC also shopped around for us on home insurance and we received an awesome quote. The experience was phenomenal as Lee answered all of our questions and made everything clear. He completed our closing process in less than three weeks and made it easy and not stressful whatsoever. I would HIGHLY recommend his lending services.

Frustrated JWB customer
Lee was not very friendly or personable. It is absolutely crazy how many docs I had to send in to get this closed. I have 7 other investment properties, great credit and a 10+ year work history and they still needed me to get my boss to sign off on a few docs. It took forever and at least once a week I was requested to send in more doc. The even crazier thing is- a month before, I had sent in all this stuff originally on a property where the appraisal didn't come back. They still needed everything again.
Bret's Tip: Be ready to send in every piece of document you have and be patient.

Good
We hit both types above as Consumer and Realtor. I and my mother in law were the consumers and my wife was the realtor. We tried to be responsive to every request and for the most part met that standard we set for ourselves. Everything went well until the day before closing and I am not sure if that was nerves on our part but it seemed like parties within the company were not communicating with each other as we felt like we were providing duplicate information to them. We were advised that we had gotten the loan but still the underwriters were requesting more and more verification of our funds and the origin. In the end we closed, but I was afraid there was going to be one more document. My wife states she would use FBC for future clients because she is familiar with their process and would want to make the experience smoother. All of the personnel were awesome that were our point of contacts
Samuel's Tip: Be sure to have a realtor to help with the process, as there are issues that arise that could help with keeping the calm amongst all parties up to closing.

AWESOME TEAM!!!
I recently got a FHA mortgage through FBC, my realtor introduce me to Lee Utley, the day before I spoke with Lee on the phone my husband and I were denied a mortgage just days before closing, I gave Lee all the details and just a little bit of financial information and right away he was able to help me, within hours I had a pre-approval and I was on my way to securing a mortgage! The team that Lee works with consisting of Tyler Ratay and Leigh Ann Harrison were amazing! These two ladies answered every question I had, and believe me I had plenty! These two ladies also went out of their way to inform me daily about what was going on with my process knowing I had had a bad experience before finding FBC, I even receive text messages and emails late into the evening and on the weekends, I often joked with them they really needed to turn the laptop off. Due to some issues on my end nothing having to do with the mortgage company itself, there was a holdup and the closing took a little longer than expected, Lee and his team helped me out tremendously by telling me exactly what I needed to do to solve these problems quickly and efficiently, and now I'm sitting in my brand new home writing this review! If you need a mortgage FBC is the way to go I suggest you request Lee Utley and his magnificent team, you will not be disappointed. Tyler and Leann this one's for you ladies!

FAR EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!
First time buyer with limited knowledge. When I called Lee Utley, he was out of town but quickly returned my call and was more than willing to answer any questions I had. I stopped by the office the following day and Tyler Ratay got the process started for me. I left town for three weeks due to a hurricane and military leave, but Tyler kept me updated the entire time I was gone. She provided exceptional service and informed me of the documents she needed from me in order to make sure we met the closing date. I am extremely grateful for this team's hard work in making sure we closed within a month! I would highly recommend their services! Thank you Lee, Tyler, and LeighAnn!

Great experience
My wife and I had a great experience working with Lee on a loan for our new home. Two years ago our loan company was a national company and the difference was night and day. Lee and his team provided an exceptional and personalized experience where I felt I was his only priority. He kept in touch throughout the entire process and met us at closing. I especially appreciated when we had trouble finding certain documents he was more than willing to obtain them for us and even assisted with helping us get Homeowners Insurance. I really don't know how he could have made the process any smoother.

Easy to work with!
Tyler Ratay and Lee Utley were great to work with...I had an excellent experience with both of them and LeighAnn Harrison, my processor. My Loan didn't close on time, but it had nothing to do with FBC. First, there was a flood insurance issue problem and once that was settled, my seller had severe financial difficulties, which delayed my closing for another two weeks. I couldn't have been more pleased with FBC. All along, Tyler assured me that I had a clean file and wouldn't have any problems closing with them, but until you received the final closing document and hear the words "cleared to close", you're on edge.
